Advice: FOCUS YOUR ATTENTION! Rather than being overwhelmed by all of the issues one could potentially worry about, choose one or two topics about which you are passionate, and focus your life as a participant in our democracy on those topics, including how those topics might be related to many others.

Advice: PAY FOR NEWS! Access to a free press is one of the most important rights we have. But "free" does not mean you are entitled to the fruit of someone else's hard labor as a reporter. Pick at least one news source to pay for. If you are consuming news without paying for it, then you are consuming news that someone else paid for (maybe because it is in their interest for you to consume it).
