The research focuses on economics, mathematics, data science and social sciences - in short: Sociophysics.
The economic research focuses on macroeconomics and monetary economics. The work exhibits the future challenges in the European Monetary Union (EMU) and the European Central Bank (ECB), such as inflation, interest rates and public debt dynamics as well as the European institutional architecture.
The mathematics research is about modelling and analyzing complex dynamical non-linear systems. Stochastic differential equations, partial differential equations as well as (sub-)fractional stochastic processes are fundamental building blocks. Recent application: complex non-linear opinion dynamics.
The data science research is utilizing AI- & ML-methods as well as big data, online data and simulation methodologies. All scientific simulations are developed in Julia programming.
The social science research touches on law, political science, sociology and philosophy.
The global financial crisis or SARS-CoV2 pandemic has vividly revealed the deficiencies in existing theories. Consequently, my research and thinking promotes new scientific (interdisciplinary) approaches. Combining mainstream approaches with a way of new thinking tackles the challenges of the 21st century.
