The Song Of Achilles by Madeline Miller is a modern retelling of the Greek myth of Achilles, narrated by his closest companion, Patroclus. The novel recounts their deep and evolving relationship, from their childhood friendship to their eventual love, set against the backdrop of the Trojan War.
The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood is a dystopian novel set in the Republic of Gilead, a theocratic society where women’s rights have been stripped away. The story is narrated by Offred, a Handmaid whose sole purpose is to bear children for the ruling elite in a world plagued by infertility.
