Welcome!
I am a Professor and Dean (Research and Partnerships) at TERI School of Advanced Studies, where I focus on advancing research initiatives and fostering collaborative relationships — building strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry stakeholders, securing funding for research projects, and promoting innovation among faculty and researchers.
With over 20 years of experience in teaching and research in environmental and resource economics, I am passionate about applying rigorous methods and tools to address complex environmental and social challenges. My expertise spans environmental valuation, choice experiments, auction mechanisms, pricing in the water and wastewater sector, waste management, renewable energy, and quantification of health impacts.
I have published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, authored books and reports, and presented at national and international conferences. I collaborate closely with government agencies, NGOs, and industry partners to deliver evidence-based solutions for improving environmental quality and human well-being, with a goal of contributing to a green and inclusive economy.
