Biography – Prof. Salah-ddine Krit

Prof. Salah-ddine Krit is a Full Professor of Computer Science at Ibn Zohr University, Agadir, Morocco, with extensive academic, industrial, and leadership experience in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Software Engineering. He holds two Ph.D. degrees, the first obtained in 2004 in ICT from FSDM, University of Fez, and the second in 2010 in advanced software engineering and system design.

Prof. Krit has held several senior academic and administrative positions, including Chief of the Department of Informatics (2022–2026), Director of the Laboratory of Systems, Information, and Electronics (Lab.SIE) (2018–2022), and Chief of the Department of Mathematics, Informatics, and Management (2015–2020). His leadership has contributed significantly to curriculum development, research structuring, and international academic collaboration.

Before joining academia, he worked in industry as a Team Leader in ICT and Hardware Engineering, specializing in analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit design, particularly in audio systems and power management ICs for mobile and satellite communication systems. He collaborated with major semiconductor companies such as Texas Instruments, Atmel, On Semiconductor, Freescale, and Lactals, using professional EDA tools including Cadence, Eldo, Orcad, and VHDL-AMS. His expertise also covers Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and network administration.

Prof. Krit is a Senior Member of IEEE (USA) and an active researcher, author, and editor. He has published over 160 scientific papers and authored or edited more than 38 books in the areas of computer science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, embedded systems, and software engineering. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cybersecurity and Information Management and the International Multidisciplinary Research Journal, and he regularly serves as General Chair and organizer of international conferences.

In addition to his academic career, Prof. Krit is an experienced financial markets trader, applying quantitative analysis, fractal theory, ICT tools, and advanced indicators to market forecasting. His interdisciplinary profile bridges engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and financial analytics, making him a strong advocate of applied research and innovation.
