Currently I am Assistant Professor of Accounting at the School of Administration and Finance at Rio de Janeiro State University and Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration. I also worked as a Short Term Consultant for the World Bank. I have MSc/PhD degrees in Administration from the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration, and a BA in Accounting from the Rio de Janeiro State University.

I research mainly on the interplay between accounting and finance, and also on the topics of microfinance, behavioral accounting and economics, and causal inferences/statistical methodologies. My research has been published in several outlets such as the Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, the International Journal of Finance & Economics, Economics Bulletin and PLOS One. I have done referee work for the Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, Applied Economics, the Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, the Latin American Business Review, the American Accounting Association Mid-Atlantic Region Meeting and the Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Academy of Management.

I teach on the undergraduate and MSc programs in Accounting (occasionally on the Management, Economics and Actuary Undergraduate programs as well).
