Prof. Kyaw Myo Lin has served as Pro-Rector of Pyay Technological University (PTU), Pyay, West Bago, Myanmar, since January 2021.
He earned his M.E. in Electrical Power Engineering from Yangon Technological University in 2010 and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Mandalay Technological University (MTU) in 2015.
Prof. Lin began his academic career as a lecturer at Technological University (Hinthada), later becoming an associate professor at MTU and a professor at the University of Technology, Yadanarpon Cyber City, Pyinoolwin. At MTU, he founded the Power System Research Unit (KML-PSR Lab) and led the Power and Energy Research Division, supervising numerous Ph.D. and M.E. candidates and publishing widely in his areas of expertise.
Since joining PTU, he has established the Electrical Engineering Research Laboratories, served as Head of the Department, and continued to mentor postgraduate students.
Beyond his academic and research leadership, Prof. Lin consults on the implementation of outcome-based education (OBE), curriculum design and development, and educational quality assurance in engineering education. He also delivers specialized training programs on curriculum development and effective lesson planning for engineering courses.
