Botany Department of Faculty of Science and Technology, Omdurman Islamic University, Omdurman , Sudan. He obtained his B.Sc. (Biology), M.Sc.  (Biology) and Ph.D (Botany) Degrees from Khartoum University.

He has a wide experience in the Sudanese Medicinal and Aromatic and Poisonous plant species (Botany, Chemistry and Toxicity) spanning over two decades.

He is current Academic secretary, Omdurman Islamic University and Chairman of the Project Evaluation Committee for Basic Sciences ,  Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Sudan.   

Research Interest:

1.    Chemistry of natural products

2.    Biological activities of medicinal, aromatic and poisonous extracts of Sudanese plant species.

3.    Plant Biodiversity and Conservation.

4.    Modern Plant Taxonomy : Synthetic Approach.

5. Folk Medicine.
