# Privacy Policy — Product Label Printer
Effective date: 11 August 2026
Product Label Printer has one purpose: to read user-selected product information from the current browser tab and create a printable product label with a Code 128 barcode.
## Data handled
When the user opens the extension, it temporarily reads the active page to identify the product category, value, Deal ID, selected valuer name and note. This information may include website content, form data, an employee name and a business reference number.
## How data is used
The information is used only to display the extension popup, generate the requested label preview and print that label. Preview information is kept temporarily in Chrome's in-memory session storage so that the preview page can display it.
## Data collection, transmission and sharing
The extension does not transmit label information to the developer or any external server. It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, remote code or third-party network library. The developer does not collect, sell or share the page information processed by the extension.
The extension does not intentionally persist label information to disk. Session information is removed by Chrome when the browser session ends.
## Permissions
- `activeTab`: temporarily accesses the current page only after the user invokes the extension.
- `scripting`: runs the local field-detection code in that active page.
- `storage`: passes the selected label data to the extension's preview page using Chrome's in-memory session storage.
## Limited use
Information accessed by Product Label Printer is used only to provide and improve its disclosed label-generation functionality. It is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions or any unrelated purpose, and is not made available for humans to read except when a user voluntarily provides specific information for support or when required by law.
## Changes
If this policy or the extension's data practices change, the published policy and Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before the new practices are introduced.
