The MPC Productivity Grant supports research and development (R&D) activities focused on enhancing productivity. This matching grant, offering funding of up to RM350,000, is available for R&D projects that can be completed within 12 months. Eligible projects are expected to deliver significant improvements to industries in the following sub-sectors: agro-food, tourism, professional services, retail and F&B, private healthcare, logistics, and construction.
OBJECTIVE
The Productivity Grant aims to discover and aid groundbreaking products with the potential to enhance customer productivity and operational efficiency.
To stimulate the development of innovative products and solutions that incorporate advanced technologies, novel processes, or unique concepts to address unmet market needs
To support products that improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, or enhance output quality for businesses and consumers.
To contribute to economic development by backing ventures that have the potential to scale, create jobs, and foster competitive advantages in their respective industries.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Applicant Eligibility Criteria:
Local ownership with equity exceeding 50%
Operational for a minimum of 3 years
Annual sales surpassing RM3 million
Utilisation of an accounting management system
Project Criteria:
Your Research & Development, Commercialisation, and Innovation (R&D&C&I) project should aim to achieve significant productivity improvement in one of the seven key industries: Agro-food, Tourism, Professional Services, Retail and Food & Beverages, Private Healthcare, Logistics, and Construction & Built Environment.
