Product Promo Studio is a 100% client-side Chrome extension.

We do NOT collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your personal

data. Everything happens directly in your browser.

1. INTRODUCTION

This Privacy Policy describes how Product Promo Studio (the

"Extension"), developed by [Your Name / Company Name] ("we",

"us", or "our"), handles information when you install and use

our Chrome extension.

By installing and using the Extension, you agree to the practices

described in this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall

the Extension.

2. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

We want to be absolutely clear. Our Extension does NOT collect,

store, or transmit any of the following:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, address,

phone number)

• Health or medical information

• Financial or payment information (credit cards, bank details,

transactions)

• Authentication credentials (passwords, PINs, security answers)

• Personal communications (emails, texts, chats)

• Location data (GPS, IP address, region)

• Web browsing history (visited pages, visit times)

• User activity data (clicks, mouse movement, keystrokes, scroll

3. INFORMATION WE ACCESS LOCALLY

The Extension reads certain publicly visible content from the

e-commerce product page that you are actively viewing — but only

after you click the "Extract Product Data" button. This content

is processed entirely in your browser and never leaves your

device.

3.1 WHAT WE ACCESS

3.2 WHAT WE DO NOT ACCESS

• Your Amazon/Flipkart/Meesho account information

• Your order history, cart, or wishlist

• Your payment methods or billing details

• Any content from non-product pages

• Any other browser tabs or windows

4. HOW DATA IS PROCESSED

All processing happens locally in your browser using standard

web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5 Canvas, MediaRecorder API).

Step 1: EXTRACTION

When you click "Extract Product Data", a content script reads

the product information from the active tab.

Step 2: TEMPORARY STORAGE

The extracted data is temporarily stored in chrome.storage.local

so it can be passed to the Slideshow Studio page.

Step 3: GENERATION

The Slideshow Studio page renders the images onto a canvas,

records the animation as a video, and generates the final WebM

file.

Step 4: DOWNLOAD

The generated file is saved directly to your Downloads folder.

Step 5: CLEANUP

The temporary data in chrome.storage.local is cleared when you

close the Slideshow Studio tab or extract new product data.

IMPORTANT: No Upload.

At no point is any data uploaded to any server. There are no

backend servers, no APIs, and no cloud storage involved.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Extension does NOT use any third-party services, including:

• Google Analytics or any analytics platform

• Advertising networks

• Tracking pixels or cookies

• Crash reporting services

• Cloud storage or CDNs (all libraries are bundled locally)

6. PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions. Each

is essential for the extension's single purpose:

6.1 activeTab

Allows the Extension to read the currently active product page

only when you click the extension icon. It does NOT access

other tabs.

6.2 scripting

──────────────

Allows the Extension to inject a content script into e-commerce

product pages to extract product details (title, price, images,

videos). The script runs only on user-specified sites: Amazon,

Flipkart, and Meesho.

6.3 storage

────────────

Allows the Extension to temporarily store extracted product

data locally in your browser so it can be passed between the

popup and the Slideshow Studio page.

6.4 downloads

Allows the Extension to save the generated slideshow video

(WebM) and PowerPoint file (PPTX) to your Downloads folder.

Downloads are triggered only by your explicit click.

6.5 Host Permissions

The Extension needs access to specific e-commerce sites:

• https://*.amazon.in/* and https://*.amazon.com/*

• https://*.flipkart.com/*

• https://*.meesho.com/*

These are the only sites the Extension interacts with. It does

not read or modify any other website.

7. DATA SHARING

We do NOT sell, rent, trade, or share any user data with third

parties. We do NOT transfer data for advertising, marketing, or

profiling purposes. We do NOT use data to determine

creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

8. DATA RETENTION

Extracted product data exists only in your browser's local

storage (chrome.storage.local) and is automatically cleared

when:

• You close the Slideshow Studio tab

• You extract a new product (previous data is overwritten)

• You uninstall the Extension (Chrome clears all extension

storage)

Generated video and PPTX files are saved to your device and are

never accessible to us.

9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Extension is not directed to children under 13 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since

the Extension collects no user data at all, this is inherently

compliant with COPPA and similar regulations.

10. YOUR RIGHTS

Since we collect no personal data, there is nothing for us to

delete, modify, or export. However, you retain full control:

• Right to Access: You can inspect extracted data via Chrome

DevTools

• Right to Delete: Clear chrome.storage.local or uninstall the

Extension

• Right to Opt-Out: Simply stop using the Extension

11. SECURITY

Because all processing is local and no data is transmitted,

there are no servers to breach. Any data extracted is protected

by your browser's built-in security sandbox.

12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do,

we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes

acceptance of the updated policy.

This Extension complies with:

• Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies

• Google APIs Terms of Service

• General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — no personal data

collected
