AutoCam ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our dashcam application.

### 1. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
AutoCam stores the following data locally on your iOS device:
- **Video Recordings**: Front and rear camera footage captured during your drives
- **GPS Location Data**: Your route, speed, and location information during recordings
- **Motion Sensor Data**: Accelerometer readings for detecting events (crashes, hard braking, sharp turns)
- **Recording Metadata**: Date, time, duration, and event markers associated with recordings
**Important**: All of this data is stored **exclusively on your device** and is **not transmitted to our servers** unless you explicitly choose to share it.
### 2. Analytics and Crash Reporting
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to improve app performance and stability:
- **Anonymous Usage Data**: App features used, session duration, device type, and iOS version
- **Crash Reports**: Technical information when the app crashes, including device model, iOS version, and error logs
- **Performance Metrics**: App launch time, screen load times, and network latency
This data is **anonymized** and **does not contain any personally identifiable information**.
### 3. In-App Purchases
When you purchase AutoCam Premium through the App Store:
- **Payment Information**: Processed entirely by Apple. We never see or store your credit card or payment details
- **Subscription Status**: We receive confirmation of your subscription status from Apple's servers to enable premium features
## How We Use Your Information
### Local Data Usage
- **Video Storage**: Your recordings are saved to your device's storage for your personal use
- **Event Detection**: Motion and GPS data are analyzed on-device to automatically detect and mark significant events
- **Route Visualization**: GPS data is used to display your driving route on maps within the app
### Analytics Usage
- **App Improvement**: Understanding which features are used helps us prioritize development
- **Bug Fixes**: Crash reports help us identify and fix issues quickly
- **Performance Optimization**: Performance metrics help us make the app faster and more responsive
## Data Sharing and Transfer
### We Do NOT:

### Optional Sharing by You:
- **iCloud Backup** (if enabled): Your recordings may be backed up to your personal iCloud account. This is entirely controlled by you through iOS Settings.
- **Manual Export**: You can choose to export and share recordings via the iOS share sheet to any destination you prefer.
## Data Security
### On-Device Security
- All recordings are stored in your app's private container, inaccessible to other apps
- iOS sandboxing protects your data from unauthorized access
- Video files are saved to your device's encrypted storage (if device encryption is enabled)
### Cloud Services Security
- Firebase uses industry-standard encryption for data transmission
- All analytics and crash data is transmitted over HTTPS
- Firebase complies with GDPR and other international privacy regulations
## Your Rights and Choices
### Access and Deletion
- **View Your Data**: All your recordings are accessible within the app's Gallery
- **Delete Data**: You can delete any recording individually or clear all data from Settings
- **Export Data**: Export recordings as video files to any destination
### Analytics Opt-Out
While we currently don't offer an in-app opt-out for analytics, you can:
- Disable analytics at the iOS system level: Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Share iPhone Analytics (OFF)
### Location Services
- **Control Access**: Manage location permissions in iOS Settings > AutoCam > Location
- **Required for Core Features**: Location data is essential for route tracking and event correlation. Disabling it will limit app functionality.
## Children's Privacy
AutoCam is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
## Third-Party Services
AutoCam uses the following third-party services:
### Firebase (Google LLC)
