Step 6: Creating

Step 6: Creating

It is time! The moment we have been waiting for throughout this learning journey.

It is time to bring our ideas to life.

You have been learning, asking questions, speaking to experts, drafting out ideas, holding conversations with your peers, and much more.

Now we make it happen.

Are you ready?

Classroom Activities

1. Provide students an overview of all materials and technology available to them. Each school is different so ensuring students are aware of what is available is important.

2. Give them chunks of time to create. Remember the process is not all fun and games. We will make mistakes, need to start over, try different paths of creation, and more. Give them the time and space needed to create.

3. Help them find places to go to learn new skills needed to bring their ideas to life. Local experts, online videos, other teachers are just a few places to begin.

Lesson Plans and Slides

  • Slides
    • Navigate ideas, creating a prototype, and highlight/fix, are all combined in these slides because these take the biggest chunk of time. I put them together so you can move freely between them. You might groups at different stages depending on how their research, prototyp building, and revision processes take.
    • Be sure to allow plenty of time for them to work in these stages.
    • Be sure they have time to test their ideas for effectiveness if possible before sharing with the workers.
