Hi there! I'm a lifelong football fanatic currently living between the USA and Canada. My love for the game has taken me on a wild ride, especially after moving to Canada in 2011 and fully immersing myself in the journey of their Men's national team. 

I witnessed the entire cycle: from the painful 8-1 defeats to the miracle run to 2022 World Cup qualification (and I was there for it!). A key part of Canada's success was its effort to recruit dual-national players, an effort tracked on a website called 'Canucks Abroad.'

Having followed that journey, I saw the power of a centralized database. Seeing Bangladesh begin its own exciting transition, thanks to stars like Hamza Chowdhury and Shamit Shome, I knew our football community needed a similar hub.

And so, in August 2025, Probashi Footballers was born. This site is my contribution to the future of Bangladeshi football—a comprehensive, fan-driven database of the diaspora players who could help elevate our national team to new heights.

When I first started, the list had just a handful of players I had tracked. Thanks to an incredible response from the community on social media (special thanks to @BangladeshiBallers, who first reached out to me via Reddit), it has now grown to over hundreds. 

I compile this data independently from sources such as Transfermarkt, news articles, and social media. As a one-person operation, I can't guarantee 100% accuracy. If you see an error or have a new name, please use the Player Submission Form to help me keep it updated!

1. Both lists been categorized based on country. List is still sorted by Last Name, alphabetically. Players are categorized into the countries based on which country they play in. If they are unattached, they are categorized based on their other nationality. If they are not a dual citizen of Bangladesh, they are placed in whichever country they reside in, or they played in last. 

2. "First Name(s)" column has been changed to "Given Name(s)".
