Instructions

For audience

  • Past talks: We publicly post some of the talk on MCA YouTube channel.

  • Join live seminars with zoom: To participate in the seminar please send us an email: tvims.nsu [at] gmail.com

  • Live stream: Presentations are streamed live on MCA YouTube channel: TBA. You can post any clarification questions you have during the talk in the YouTube Live chat box - organizers will monitor it and ask your questions. Do note that there will also be a more elaborate Q&A session after the talk.

  • Introduce yourself: When joining zoom-conference, please use your own names instead of nicknames. This will make it easier for everybody to identify each other.

For speakers

  • Make your talk accessible: please try to keep the talk accessible for graduate students and start by giving an introduction to the area.

  • Slides: We ask you to send us (email: tvims.nsu [at] gmail.com) your slides at least an hour before your talk as we want to make them publicly available to the audience through this website. You will be able to update them after the talk.

  • Language: We ask that you give your talk in Russian, but prepare your slides in English.

  • Preparations: Please join zoom conference at least 15 minutes before the talk in order to make sure everything is working fine.

  • Question from the audience: We will hold a Q&A session after your talk, where anyone has the opportunity to ask their questions. But it's also possible for organizer to briefly interrupt your talk in case someone in the audience has a clarification question.

  • Co-authors: If you have co-authors that can answer some of the questions or take over a part of the presentation - please introduce them at the beginning of your talk.
