A passion for snakes, I exploit the opportunity of studying and understanding snake evolutionary ecology and biogeographic histories in peninsular India. During my academic training, I worked on the systematics, phylogeny, and biogeography of few colubrine and viperine genera of snakes (Trimeresurus, and Ahaetulla). Currently, I am working on the systematics of few other genera of snakes to understand their cryptic speciation, the spatial scale of genetic structuring, species diversification and  adaptive radiation, and biogeographic histories in Peninsular India.

Areas of Interest:

Evolutionary ecology, biogeography, molecular systematics, population genetics & genomics, herpetology and biodiversity conservation.

PROSPECTIVE INTERNS

The prospective interns those who are in their under graduates (BS & BSc) and Post Graduates (Masters) are also interested in my work are advised to contact me. Currently, I am not affiliated with any research institution or I do not have a laboratory facility, but we can work together with people, faculties, institutions and universities, I am collaborating with listed here. It is advised to contact me along with a short "research ideas/proposal" based on my area of research interest.
