LemonSqueezy registration procedure to access the affiliate program

To access the ProThumbnailPreview Affiliate Program, you need to register on LemonSqueezy. Before accessing the affiliate program LemonSqueezy risk team needs to approve your account (to make sure you are human and not a bot).

Open an account, (type your name, password, email).

Validate your email address (you will receive an email with a link that you click on). After email verification, the panel will be displayed: "Welcome aboard, partner! Now, create your store.''

Type what you want your shop to be called  (you don't need a shop, it's just a procedure).

When you are in a LemonSqueezy account, [important] click on this affiliate program link to access the affiliate account form.

Fill out the form.

Many YouTubers get confused here because they don't have a "site" and an "email list", so they think they can't sign up.

The Lemon Squeezy form is made for bloggers, but here's how to fill it out as a YouTuber to make it go smoothly:

1. Bio (Most important field)

Just need to explain that you are content creators.

Sample text:

"I run a YouTube channel named [Channel Name] focused on [Their Niche, e.g. YouTube Growth / Tech]. My audience consists of creators looking to improve their channel performance. I plan to promote ProThumb by including the affiliate link in my video descriptions, pinned comments, and by mentioning the tool in my tutorials/reviews."

(This is all Lemon needs to hear: "I've got an audience, I'll put a link in the description.")

2. Website(s)

YouTubers often don't have their own site.

What to write: A direct link to your YouTube channel.

Example: https://youtube.com/@name-channel

3. Social media

What to write: Again, a link to the YouTube channel, or to X/Instagram profile if you have one.

Note: If you only have YouTube, please put the YouTube link again. That's perfectly fine.

4. Website visitors (Monthly visits)

What to write: average number of views per month.

If you are a small channel: choose the lowest option (eg 0 - 1,000 or 1,000 - 10,000).

Important: not to worry about this. Lemon Squeezy is not going to count your views. This is just a statistic.

5. Email subscribers

Most YouTubers don't have a newsletter.

What to write: 0 (Zero).

After you send the form, in a few days they will send you an email with additional questions. Lemon Squeezy is a daughter company of Stripe and they are a little strict about security, so the procedure is what it is.

This is a standard check by the Lemon Squeezy Risk Team. 

They want to make sure that affiliate partners are not spammers and that they have the right audience.

The questions they will send you on email and how to answer them in order to approve your affiliate account in no time.

How do you typically drive traffic...?

I plan to promote the partner product by creating tutorial videos, reviews, and mentioning it as a recommended tool in my video descriptions and pinned comments. Yes, I am specifically applying to partner with 'Pro Thumbnail Preview for YouTube'. I believe this tool is a perfect fit for my audience of creators.

I have experience promoting software tools relevant to my niche (like video editors, SEO tools). My audience is highly targeted, so while I focus on engagement and trust rather than mass cold traffic, my conversion rates for relevant tools are typically healthy (around 2-5%).

Send an email and you will be approved in a few days. You will receive an email informing you that your account has been approved and that you can access the affiliate program.

Once your affiliate account is approved, log into your Lemon account

[important] click on the this link ProThumbnailPreview affiliate program, and on the right side of the page you will see the program and the "Submit Affiliate request'' button. Click the button.

When you click on the button to access the program, a field will appear, write anything there (minimum 25 characters), click on the "Submit Affiliate request" button.

Congratulations, you have joined the ProThumbnailPreview Affiliate Program.

If you have already done this once (when they became an affiliate for the first program), your "Affiliate Profile" is active.
