IFT Swampland Visitor Program
This year, the (now traditional) IFT Swampland workshop will have a satellite event: A one-week visitor program! We will fully support around 10 visitors who will stay in Madrid for one week at IFT after the workshop (from Sept 4 to Sept 11). We will cover housing and (upon request) also travel.
The idea of the event is to create a relaxed atmosphere to foster interactions and new collaborations among visitors and IFT researchers, in the spirit of a scaled-down version of research programs such as the one routinely happening at Aspen, KITP, SCGP in Stony Brook, or Mainz. We will have a few talks and discussion sessions throughout the week, but we will keep their number small to ensure ample time for unstructured discussions. We will also have social activities in the evening. On top of this, participants are encouraged to take the weekend of Sept 5-6 to explore Madrid and the region around, including the close-by mountain range of "La Sierra", which is beautiful in September.
The visitor program is focused on early and mid-career researchers. Advanced PhD students, postdocs and faculty are welcome to apply through the corresponding part in the registration form.
Please abstain from applying if you are at the beginning of your PhD or an earlier career stage.
