The official music video teaser for the title track was released on YouTube and Naver TV via SM Entertainment's official channels at midnight on April 2.[6][better source needed] A second teaser was released the next day, which features Wendy looking glowing as she is bathed in sunset like glow, in this amber-colored teaser. She is surrounded by water droplets and fresh flowers and a heavenly instrumental sound fills the background. Towards the end, Wendy hits the high-notes, standing in a red dress.[7][better source needed]The video was released alongside the song on April 5 and features Wendy performing the song alone in a mansion filled with overgrown plants. It also features shots of the singer in a glass pavilion, similarly surrounded by bright red flora.[8]

Could there be a different way to be strong? Could strength mean more than pushing on and pushing through pain, bearing every heavy burden on our own? What if, instead, true strength were more like the tide: soft and bold, fierce and gentle, moving together as one powerful force?

The process of navigating hard things is not a linear path for any of us, but with clarity, resources, research, and the deepest wells of compassion, Aundi lends her heart and expertise as she guides us through this road map of healing and discovery in her latest offering. Strong like Water contains truths that ultimately lead us back to ourselves and the ever-present reminder that God has and always will be with us on our journey of becoming more beautifully human in the midst of adversity. This is a book I need now and will surely return to as often as necessary.

In Strong like Water, Aundi Kolber emerges as one of the most trusted and approachable voices at the intersection of faith, trauma, and body-centered therapy. The practices alone are worth reading this excellent, well-researched, heartfelt book.

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.

As an abolitionist, it is important for me to practice abolition in my daily life. For years, I have asked myself what abolition looks like in my day-to-day. How do I practice abolition in the ways that I relate to myself, to others, to the environment? A question that flows through this reflection here is, what does abolition mean for the ways we relate to ourselves, to other humans, to the land, and to the more-than-human world? After a year reflecting on being like water, I further ask: what can we learn from water in creating ways of relating that are based in abolition praxis? How does thinking with water shift the way we think and talk about abolition? What does abolition mean for the planet, for our relationship to the planet? What does abolition mean for how we relate?

Water is always collective. We can look to healing justice, a framework for understanding that our trauma and oppression is political and requires collective healing practices to transform the consequences of oppression. It is important that we practice healing in our organizing for social change. Too often, people burnout and organizations fall apart because they reproduce the same toxic ways of relating that they are fighting against. Being like water would mean prioritizing healing and restorative practices in our organizations and movement spaces.

Water requires immersion. To practice being like water as an abolition relationality means dealing with depth and complexity. Rather than operating under binaries such as perpetrator/victim, good/bad, criminal/non-criminal, normative/non-normative, human/animal, violent/non-violent, guilty/innocent, deserving/undeserving, etc., we immerse ourselves in the complexities and multiplicities of our embodied experiences. To immerse ourselves means that we get wet; we accept that none of us are innocent. This means recognizing the ways in which we have all been perpetrators of harm or complicit in harm at some point, embracing non-innocence. Immersion is vulnerable. Abolition work requires vulnerability. To be like water is to be vulnerable with each other, and to honor and embrace vulnerability when it shows up. I believe it also is to be vulnerable with the land.

Providing on-the-ground stories that examine the social, cultural, and political constraints and opportunities, Words like Water emphasizes the value of discursive flexibility that allows activists to adapt to changing social and political conditions.

Water is an amazing substance it has properties like nothing else in the universe. I guess in that way God is a lot like water. Water is the substance that allows life to exist on earth. Water possesses the amazing property that it will fill the shape of the container it is placed in. Water can be present in three states at once, just like the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Water can kill you, but it is also necessary to keep us alive.

What I admire most about water is its ability to change without losing or compromising its true identity. Water can change shape, size, temperature, and even alter its own state of matter, depending on the environment it finds itself in at a particular time.

An example of excessive flexibility and changing at the core would be completely changing the body parts trained or bailing on the entire workout. Properly adapting and being like water could involve substituting the barbell bench press for a dumbbell bench press or Smith machine squats for barbell squats, or dumbbell curls for cable curls.

Hi Gail, great post,I understand what you are getting at.

I am going through a difficult time, after losing the love of a lady I adored.but without your inspiration I would be in a far worse place.

I must remember I am healthy,I just came home from a winter bike ride, and count my blessings I can get out in the sun.

Flow like water is a lovely thought of the day,

Regards Malcolm.

University of Chicago researchers recently showed that dry granular materials such as sands, seeds and grains have properties similar to liquid, forming water-like droplets when poured from a given source. The finding could be important to a wide range of industries that use "fluidized" dry particles for oil refining, plastics manufacturing and pharmaceutical production.

Researchers previously thought dry particles lacked sufficient surface tension to form droplets like ordinary liquids. But, in a first-time accomplishment, physicists from the Materials Research Science and Engineering Center at the University of Chicago, led by Professor Heinrich M. Jaeger, used high-speed photography to measure minute levels of surface tension and detect droplet formation in flows of dry granular materials.

But in this new experiment, researchers measured nanoscale forces that cause droplet formation using a special co-moving apparatus devised for a high-speed, $80,000 camera that captures images much like a skydiver might photograph a fellow jumper in free fall.

They observed falling 100-micrometer-diameter glass beads, or streaming sand, and found that forces as much as 100,000 times smaller than those that produce surface tension in ordinary liquids could cause droplet formation in granular streams and cause these dry streams to behave like an ultra-low-surface-tension liquid.

Of course, right around this point, it all went to hell in the rap world. Organics in hip-hop were replaced with electronic skitter and weak rhymes. Heart and soul were supplanted by speed freaks like Bone Thugs N' Harmony. Machismo and money superseded authenticity and love for music. "Entrepreneurs" like Master P began serving records like hamburgers, inundating the industry with clone rappers whose most impressive attributes were their ice and gold teeth. The outlook was bleak.

Like the Roots' Things Fall Apart and Mos Def's Black on Both Sides, this record is certainly the product of much thought and work, but it's a labor of love. Right before our eyes, rappers like Common are laying the foundations for a closely-knit family of hip-hop zealots who eat, sleep and breathe positive, intelligent hip-hop-- a network of men and women who share a mutual respect and can address serious societal issues that plague us all (and wreck MCs) without coming off as pedantic or absurd. In 2000, this is just about as good as hip-hop gets.

I like to make the five year plan, but allow for those spontaneous ventures in my day to day life. It gives me overall direction, but often I will rebel against the rules I set and just do willy-nilly. It sounds counter-productive but it works for me and I enjoy it.

In order to make this observation, the team improved methods to create ultra-clean graphene and developed a new way measure its thermal conductivity. This research could lead to novel thermoelectric devices as well as provide a model system to explore exotic phenomena like black holes and high-energy plasmas.

If you are standing in the ocean as the waves come at you, punching or pushing at the wave is a strictly futile effort, the water simply redirects around you to the points where you are weak. You can neither strike it offensively nor resist it defensively. It flows away from where you are strong to wherever you are weak.

A good military commander that has trained well can pattern match in real-time which looks to others like an intuitive feeling for how to manage the battle. The German tank commanders could see where the enemy was weak and know to focus their efforts there. Similarly, good business leaders are able to draw on their experience to know where to focus their effort and resources.

If you have all three of these together, it looks very much like flowing like water. During the German blitzkrieg (which reached Paris in an astoundingly short time), you had all these factors operating together. 006ab0faaa
