The mission of Melody Makers is to share the comfort and joy of music with our local community. We aim to inspire a love of music in others by performing at various locations, from small gatherings to large public events.
Skill Development: Improve your musical abilities by learning new pieces and performing regularly.
Community Connection: The club provides a unique opportunity to connect with different members of the community and make a positive impact.
Confidence Building: Perform in front of live audiences and build self-esteem and confidence.
Teamwork and Collaboration: Work in small groups and as a full ensemble, strengthening teamwork and collaboration skills.
Cultural Exploration: We will incorporate ethnic songs into our repertoire, giving members the chance to learn about different cultures through music.
Earn Volunteer hours: You can also earn volunteer hours while making music you love.
During Melody Makers rehearsals, we gather to practice our repertoire of music, focusing on both individual parts and the full ensemble sound.
We'll spend time refining our performance, making notes on what people should practice at home to improve between sessions. Rehearsals are also a crucial time for planning, as we determine who should go to what events in our community. This ensures that we have the right performers for each occasion, from small private gatherings to large public festivals.
Our rehearsals are a collaborative process where we work together to perfect our music and organize our community outreach efforts.
