Research Projects

• Conducted research on the project entitled ‘Age at Menopause among Brahmin females of District Panchkula, Haryana’ and successfully submitted the report under the Special Assistance Programme under Centre of Advance Studies (CAS-I) (UGC SAP) in the Department of Anthropology, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

• Actively involved in various national projects of the An.S.I.:

1)     National Project: Community Health, Diseases and Genetic Structure of Indian Population:

·        Under this project was involved as a coordinator in arranging and conducting a Screening cum Health Awareness Camp among Ranchi community (Oraon, Munda, Kharia) of Rangat, Middle Andaman, A&N Islands, India in February 2018.

·         Under this project was involved as a coordinator in arranging and conducting a field study entitled ‘Anthropometric and General Health Assessment among Great Andamanese of Andaman & Nicobar Islands’ in March 2019.

2)     National Project: Anthropological Study of Denotified, Nomadic and Semi -Nomadic communities:

·       Under this project was involved in the ethnographic study of Sansi Community (A de-notified community) of Haryana, India from 10th August 2018 to 24th September 2018.

·       Under this project was involved in the ethnographic study of Sansi Community (A de-notified community) of Punjab, India from 22nd September 2019 to 23rd October 2019.

3)     Involved in Project on “General Health, Hygiene and Nutritional Anthropometric study among De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities” among the Sansi Community (A de-notified community) of Haryana and Punjab Under the National Project: Community Health, Disease and Genetic Structure of Indian Population.

4)     National Project: Anthropological Study of 64 communities listed in the list-C of Idate Commission report proposed by NITI Aayog:

·       Under this project was involved in the ethnographic study of Maset Community (A semi-nomadic community) of Haryana from 16th January 2020 to 29th February 2020.

·       Under this project involved in the ethnographic study of Shergir community of Haryana.

5)     National Project: Ethnographic study of 226 De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities proposed by NITI Aayog:

·       Under this project was involved in the ethnographic study of ‘Tagus of District Karnal’ community (A de-notified Community) of Haryana, India from 14th November 2021 to 17th December 2021.

·       Under this project was involved in the ethnographic study of ‘Sansi (including 21 sub-castes)’ community (A de-notified community) of Haryana, India; from 15th February 2022 to 11th March 2022.

·       Under this project was involved in the ethnographic study of Vagri/Waghri community (A semi-nomadic community) of Punjab from 10th July 2022 to 05 August 2022.

6)     National Project: Gut Mircobial genomic study among the PVTGs of India

·       Under this project was involved in the labwork in related to the 'Savara' community of Andhara Pradesh.
