Music

What kind of music do I listen to? I'm not sure how to explain it, so here are some charts.

Below is my "Top Songs from 2018" as compiled by Spotify. I'm not sure what criteria it used (presumably frequency of use?), and a breakdown by genre (categories defined by me).

There is no logic or philosophy here. I just like things if I like the way they sound. A few patterns emerge: I seem to like clear melodies, equal-weighted harmonies, polyphony, and a variety of timbres simultaneously (although there are exceptions--e.g. Bach's Suites for Unaccompanied Cello do not fit almost any of those criteria).
