Hello!
Outdoor Swim lesson season is falling upon us. We (Danae and Olivia) are super excited to be teaching valuable skills in strokes and swimming safety, right here in Langley, BC!
We started offering private swimming lessons during COVID-19 while pools were closed. Now, having taught over 100 families since 2020, we wish to be able to continue teaching water safety and swimming skills that will never be forgotten! Private lessons ensure fast improvement of these skills and are recommended for everyone. We are both certified with the LifeSaving Society as Swimming Instructors. Danae is also a lifeguard and has her Emergency Medical Responder certifications. Your children are in great hands!
Come to a little oasis in our backyard where you can enjoy lounging in the sun, allow extra kiddos run around the yard and watch your child(ren) learn and improve their swim skills!

Frequently asked Questions
What is the youngest age you teach?
We are able to teach all ages however since our pool does not have a 'beach style' entrance, it is challenging to teach when they are not able to touch, or be comfortable in the water without a floaty.
Because of the difference in teaching location and temperature of the pool, we don't think it is worth your money for us to teach your children under 3 y/o (of course, this is entirely dependent on your child's comfortability with the water!) We are completely open to conversation surrounding this as well!
How long are the lessons?
Preschool levels - Swim Kids 3: 30 minute sessions
Swim Kids 3-10: 45 minute sessions
What are 'public lessons' and how do I sign up?
To accommodate for those who do not have siblings or friends to join a class, we have lesson slots that are open for anyone within the same swimming level and age. The cost is split up between all swimmers. Joining a public class decreases the cost for you, ensures a slot for your child(ren) to learn and to meet other kids! All you have to do to sign up is indicate on our registration form!
Can I share a lesson set with friends?
Yes! If the kids have similar strengths within their swimming skills, groups can be combined. Make sure to let us know on the registration form if this interests you!
Registration: Fill out the form either separately or together. If you are filling out the form together, make sure to add all names, ages and swim levels of every child taking lessons. If you are filling out a separate registration forms, PLEASE ensure both parties register AND include one another's last name so I can put you both in the same lesson slot.
Any other questions about this?- feel free to contact!
Want more than one set of lessons this summer?
Please let us know on the registration form, and we will try to accommodate.
How deep is your pool?
The shallow end is 3ft deep with a ramp to a 8ft deep end. We
are trying to get a staircase that little ones can gradually get
in with.
I registered for lessons and haven't heard back.
Thank you for your patience! We are busy trying to schedule everyone in for lessons. If you haven't heard from us, we are probably trying to find you a spot, but we do appreciate reminders, so feel free to contact us. We try accommodate for all who have registered so that everyone gets 1 week of teaching, this of course is subject to change depending on the amount of interest.
How long are the lessons?
Preschool levels - Swim Kids 4: 30 minute sessions
Swim Kids 5-10: 45 minute sessions
What days are the lessons?
Lesson sets run from Monday to Friday. Unfortunately there is no option for alternating or specific lesson dates due to scheduling conflicts.
Are you able to pass my child into the next swim level?
Unfortunately not. Because these lessons are not directly affiliated with Lifesaving Society, we are unable to officially 'pass' children onto the next swim level. However, we are able to recommend them to the appropriate swim level. Please let us know if you have any further questions about this process.
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes! We do have insurance in case anything occurs.
Is the pool heated?
The pool is solar powered, so it is usually cooler than most pools. It depends on how the weather has been (usually it is warm). We do also have a hot tub for younger ones if they are too cold. We are working on getting a heater for the pool for the colder weeks of the year.
Are parents required to go in the pool?
Nope! All you get to do is relax and watch your kids have fun : ) You can even drop them off and run a few errands, or go on a walk!
Any more questions? Feel free to contact us or leave a comment on the registration form!
