OVERVIEW

PrivacyX-Ray ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your 

privacy. This policy explains what data the Extension does and 

does not collect.

DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT

PrivacyX-Ray does not collect, transmit or store any personally 

identifiable information. No page content, no full URLs, no 

browsing behavior and no personal data is ever sent to any 

external server.

DATA STORED LOCALLY ON YOUR DEVICE ONLY

The Extension stores the following data in Chrome local storage 

on your device only:

- Your Pro license activation status

- Your whitelist of trusted tracker domains

- A history of site domain names and their privacy scores

  (Pro feature only — last 50 sites, stored locally, never 

  transmitted anywhere)

This data never leaves your device.

WEB HISTORY

The Pro version of PrivacyX-Ray saves the domain name and 

privacy score of sites you visit locally on your device so 

you can review your browsing history privacy scores over time. 

Only the domain name and score are stored — not full URLs, 

page titles, or any page content. This data is stored 

exclusively in Chrome local storage and is never transmitted 

to any server.

LICENSE VERIFICATION

If you purchase PrivacyX-Ray Pro and enter a license key, 

the Extension sends that key to Gumroad's API 

(api.gumroad.com) solely to verify its validity. No other 

data is transmitted. This only occurs when you manually 

click the Verify button.

COOKIE PERMISSION

The cookies permission is used only to count the number of 

cookies on the current page for display in the privacy report. 

Cookie names, values and contents are never read, stored or 

transmitted.

PERMISSIONS USED

- activeTab: To scan the current page for tracking scripts

- scripting: To inject the scanner and floating badge

- storage: To save preferences and history locally

- cookies: To count cookies on the current page

THIRD PARTIES

We do not sell, share or transfer any user data to third 

parties under any circumstances.

CHILDREN

PrivacyX-Ray is not directed at children under 13 and does 

not knowingly collect data from children.
