1. INTRODUCTION
VidPlay ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of all users ("you") who use the VidPlay – Video & Music Player application ("App") available on the Google Play Store. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data.
By downloading or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. AGE REQUIREMENT
This App is intended for users aged 13 years and above.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not use this App. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately. Parents or guardians who believe their child has used this App may contact us at the email address listed in Section 11.
3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
3.1 Information We Do NOT Collect
VidPlay does not collect, store, or upload any of the following:
Your name, email address, or phone number
Your contacts or call logs
Your location data (GPS or network-based)
Your camera or microphone data
Any personal media files (videos, photos, music)
Any payment or financial information
3.2 Information Collected Automatically (via Third-Party SDKs)
Although the App itself does not directly collect personal data, the following third-party services integrated into the App may automatically collect certain data:
a) Google Firebase
We use Firebase services including:
Firebase Analytics – Collects anonymous usage data such as app opens, screen views, session duration, device model, OS version, and crash reports. This helps us understand how users interact with the App and improve performance.
Firebase Crashlytics – Collects crash logs and device information when the App crashes, to help us fix bugs faster.
Firebase may collect: Device identifiers, IP address (anonymized), app usage events, device type, OS version, language settings.
Firebase Data Retention: Google retains Firebase Analytics data for up to 14 months by default.

b) Google AdMob
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the App. AdMob may collect and use the following to serve ads:
Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID / GAID)
Device information (device type, OS version)
IP address
General location (country/region level only)
App usage and interaction data
Interest-based advertising data (for personalized ads)
AdMob may use cookies and similar tracking technologies through its third-party advertising partners.

4. HOW WE USE COLLECTED INFORMATION
The data collected through Firebase and AdMob is used for the following purposes:

5. STORAGE PERMISSION
VidPlay requests access to your device's local storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO / READ_MEDIA_AUDIO) for the sole purpose of reading and playing media files (videos and music) stored on your device.
We do not upload, copy, or transmit your media files to any server.
We do not access any files outside of video and audio media.
Your personal media files remain entirely on your device at all times.
6. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
Data may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:
Google LLC – via Firebase and AdMob services as described above
Legal Requirements – if required by law, court order, or government authority
Safety – to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public
7. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND ADS
Ads displayed by AdMob may link to third-party websites or apps. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
8. DATA RETENTION
VidPlay App itself stores no personal user data.
Firebase Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months as per Google's default policy.
Firebase Crashlytics logs are retained for 90 days.
AdMob advertising data is managed by Google as per their data retention policies.
You may request deletion of Firebase/AdMob data by contacting Google directly or through your device's ad settings.
9. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Depending on your region, you may have the following rights:

Opt out of personalized ads via device settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
Reset your Advertising ID: Device Settings → Google → Ads → Reset Advertising ID

10. SECURITY
We take reasonable precautions to protect user information. However, since the App uses third-party services (Firebase, AdMob), we recommend reviewing Google's security practices at https://safety.google.
Please note that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

VidPlay plays only locally stored media files on your device. This App does not provide, host, stream, or facilitate access to any copyrighted, pirated, or third-party online content. Users are solely responsible for ensuring that all media files played through this App comply with applicable copyright laws.
