Privacy Policy for Zen Art
Effective Date: April 14, 2026
Effective Date: April 14, 2026
Welcome to Zen Art. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled in a safe and responsible manner. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and protected when you use our mobile application ("the App").
By downloading and using Zen Art, you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy.
Zen Art is designed to be a privacy-first application. We do not require you to create an account, nor do we ask for your name, email address, phone number, or password. All of your personal gameplay data—including your drawn artworks, experience points (XP), levels, and gallery images—is stored locally on your physical device. We do not have access to this data, nor do we transmit it to any external developer servers.
To provide the core functionality of the App, we request certain device permissions. We handle this data with strict privacy standards:
Camera Permission: We require access to your device's camera to provide the core Augmented Reality (AR) drawing experience and to allow you to record your drawing process. Camera data is processed in real-time on your device. We do not record you without your knowledge, nor do we upload, transmit, or store your camera feed on our servers.
Storage / Photos Permission: We require access to your device’s storage to save your completed artworks and videos directly to your personal gallery, and to allow you to upload images for drawing templates.
While we do not collect personal data directly on our servers, Zen Art uses integrated third-party services provided by Google to support app functionality and serve advertisements. These services automatically collect certain data as outlined below:
A. Google AdMob (Advertising) We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the App. AdMob may collect and process certain data to serve relevant ads and measure their performance, including:
Device or other IDs (such as Android Advertising IDs).
Approximate Location (based on IP address to serve regionally relevant ads).
App Interactions (such as ad clicks or video views).
Crash logs and Diagnostics (to ensure ads do not negatively impact app performance).
B. Google Play Billing (In-App Purchases) If you choose to purchase our "Pro" subscription, the transaction is securely handled entirely by the Google Play Store. We do not collect or have access to your credit card or payment details. Google Play shares your Purchase History securely with the App strictly to unlock premium features on your device.
For more information on how Google handles this data, please review the Google Privacy Policy.
Because Zen Art does not use an account system and stores your user-generated content (drawings, XP) locally on your device, we do not hold any personal data on our servers to delete. If you wish to delete your locally stored data, you can do so at any time by:
Clearing the App's data and cache in your Android Device Settings.
Uninstalling Zen Art from your device.
(Note: Uninstalling the app will permanently delete your locally saved XP and internal gallery images. Subscriptions are tied to your Google Account and can be managed in the Google Play Store).
Zen Art does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Given that we do not collect personal names, emails, or accounts, there is no direct channel for children to submit personal data to us. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take necessary actions.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
