Effective Date: August 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to Wi-Fi Analyzer - Network Tools, an Android mobile application developed and provided by HyperNest Innovations.
Wi-Fi Analyzer - Network Tools is designed to help users inspect and analyze their current Wi-Fi connection, view signal and network information, scan nearby wireless networks and channels, inspect local network devices, test internet and network performance, view network and IP information, review Wi-Fi data usage, scan and generate QR codes, and use related networking utilities.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Application may access, collect, process, store, or share when you use its features.
Depending on the features you choose to use, Wi-Fi Analyzer may access or process certain device, network, technical, and usage information.
This may include:
Wi-Fi network information such as network name (SSID), access-point identifier (BSSID), signal strength, frequency, channel, Wi-Fi standard, connection speed, and security type.
Nearby Wi-Fi scan results available through Android Wi-Fi APIs.
Local network information such as local IP address, subnet information, gateway address, DNS servers, network interface information, and connection status.
Local-network device information discovered during user-requested device scans, such as IP addresses, reachability information, host information when available, and other network characteristics exposed by the operating system or local network.
Internet connectivity and network-performance information used for internet-speed and ping tests.
Historical Wi-Fi traffic statistics when the user explicitly enables Android Usage Access for the Data Usage feature.
Camera frames while the user actively uses the QR Scanner.
Images explicitly selected by the user through Android's photo picker for QR-code recognition.
Clipboard text only when the user explicitly chooses the Clipboard option within the QR Scanner.
QR-code contents scanned, selected, pasted, or manually entered by the user.
Application usage and technical information processed by enabled analytics or diagnostic services.
Crash reports and diagnostic information when Firebase Crashlytics is enabled in the published version.
Application preferences stored locally on the device.
Wi-Fi Analyzer does not intentionally use Wi-Fi or Location permissions to track the user's physical movements, create a physical-location history, or provide location-based advertising.
Certain Android Wi-Fi APIs require Location permission before applications can access Wi-Fi scan information.
Wi-Fi Analyzer may therefore request:
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION
This permission may be required for features such as:
displaying complete information about the currently connected Wi-Fi network;
reading nearby Wi-Fi scan results;
Channel Scanner;
Wi-Fi Finder;
Signal Strength;
Wi-Fi Security information;
Router Information;
IP Information where Wi-Fi identifiers are needed;
other Wi-Fi analysis functionality that depends on protected Android Wi-Fi information.
The Application uses this permission to obtain Wi-Fi-related information necessary for these features.
Wi-Fi Analyzer does not intentionally collect GPS coordinates or use the Location permission to track where the user goes.
Android may also require the device's Location service to be turned on before some Wi-Fi scan information becomes available. When this is required, Wi-Fi Analyzer explains the reason to the user before directing the user to Android's Location settings.
Users may decline Location permission. Features that depend on protected Wi-Fi information may then be unavailable or display limited information.
On supported Android versions, Wi-Fi Analyzer declares the:
NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES
permission.
The Application declares this permission with Android's neverForLocation assertion because the Application does not use this permission for deriving or tracking the user's physical location.
The permission may be used where required by Android for supported Wi-Fi or nearby-network functionality.
Nearby Wi-Fi access is used only to support networking and Wi-Fi utility features provided by the Application.
Wi-Fi Analyzer uses Android network and Wi-Fi capabilities including:
Internet access;
network-state access;
Wi-Fi-state access;
Wi-Fi management functionality where supported by Android.
This allows the Application to determine whether the device is connected, inspect the current Wi-Fi connection, perform network tests, and provide networking features requested by the user.
The Application does not attempt to obtain or display Wi-Fi passwords.
Features such as Channel Scanner and Wi-Fi Finder may request Wi-Fi scan results exposed by Android.
These results may contain information including:
network name (SSID);
access-point identifier (BSSID);
signal strength;
operating frequency;
Wi-Fi channel;
security capabilities;
other Wi-Fi properties exposed by Android.
Wi-Fi Analyzer uses these results to display nearby networks, compare signal conditions, analyze channel congestion, and provide related Wi-Fi information.
Nearby Wi-Fi scan results are not intentionally uploaded to HyperNest Innovations servers as part of these features.
The Application does not use nearby Wi-Fi information to create a history of the user's physical movements.
Wi-Fi Analyzer may continuously sample or periodically refresh signal information while the applicable feature is visible.
This information may include:
received signal strength measured in dBm;
Wi-Fi frequency;
channel;
network name;
access-point information;
estimated signal quality.
Channel Scanner may compare nearby access points and calculate relative channel congestion or interference indicators.
These calculations are intended as network-analysis estimates and should not be interpreted as direct measurements of every router's traffic load.
Wi-Fi Finder displays nearby Wi-Fi networks detected through Android Wi-Fi scanning.
Depending on information available from Android, the Application may display:
SSID;
signal level;
security status;
frequency band;
channel;
signal-quality description.
Wi-Fi Finder does not determine the exact geographic coordinates or physical distance of an access point unless such functionality is explicitly added in a future version and separately disclosed.
The Application does not intentionally upload discovered Wi-Fi networks to HyperNest Innovations servers.
Wi-Fi Analyzer may scan the local network to identify devices that appear reachable from the user's current device.
The Device Scanner may process information such as:
local IP addresses;
network subnet information;
reachability responses;
host information when available;
device/network identifiers exposed through standard networking mechanisms.
Local-network scanning is performed for the user-facing purpose of showing devices that may be connected to the same local network.
Device discovery is best effort. Android devices, routers, firewalls, client isolation, sleep states, and network configuration may prevent some devices from responding.
Information obtained during local device scans is not intentionally uploaded to HyperNest Innovations servers as part of the Device Scanner feature.
Users should perform network scanning only on networks they are authorized to use.
The Application includes an Internet Speed Test that may transmit and receive network data to measure connection performance.
A speed test may calculate values such as:
download speed;
upload speed;
latency or ping;
network performance characteristics.
Running a speed test necessarily transfers data over the Internet and may consume the user's network bandwidth or mobile/Wi-Fi data allowance.
Speed tests run only when initiated by the user.
The Application may store completed test results locally so the user can view Speed Test History.
Stored history may include information such as:
date and time;
download speed;
upload speed;
ping/latency;
network name where available.
Users may delete saved speed-test history from the Application.
Wi-Fi Analyzer may perform user-initiated network connectivity tests such as ping or reachability checks.
These features may communicate with network hosts in order to estimate:
response time;
packet/test success;
latency;
connection stability.
Network diagnostic tests run only when initiated by the user or when clearly required by a user-selected feature.
Wi-Fi Analyzer may read networking information supplied by Android for the active network, including:
local IPv4 information;
gateway address;
subnet/prefix information;
DNS servers;
network interface name;
connection validation status;
Wi-Fi information where permitted by Android.
This information is used solely to provide network diagnostics and related utility features.
The Application does not claim that the router's gateway IP address reveals the user's precise physical location.
The Data Usage feature may require Android's special Usage Access capability.
The Application declares:
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS
This is a special Android access capability controlled by the user through system settings.
Wi-Fi Analyzer requests or directs the user to enable this access only when the user chooses functionality that requires historical network-usage information.
When enabled, the Application may use Android-provided network statistics to calculate information such as:
Wi-Fi data used today;
upload usage;
download usage;
weekly usage;
monthly usage;
historical Wi-Fi traffic totals.
Wi-Fi Analyzer does not use Usage Access to read the contents of messages, emails, photos, documents, or communications.
The Application does not intentionally upload the user's detailed Usage Access statistics to HyperNest Innovations servers.
Usage Access may be disabled at any time through Android system settings.
If Usage Access is not granted, the related Data Usage feature may remain unavailable.
Wi-Fi Analyzer includes a QR Scanner.
When the user chooses live camera scanning, the Application may request:
CAMERA
Camera access is used to:
display a live camera preview;
detect QR codes visible in the preview;
decode QR-code contents.
Camera access is activated only in connection with the user-selected QR Scanner feature.
The Application does not intentionally record or store continuous camera video merely because the QR Scanner is open.
The camera is not used for background surveillance.
If Camera permission is denied, other Wi-Fi Analyzer functionality remains available, while live camera QR scanning may be unavailable.
Wi-Fi Analyzer may allow the user to choose an image from the device using Android's system picker.
The Application processes only the image selected by the user for the purpose of detecting QR codes.
The Application does not require broad access to the user's entire photo library merely to select a QR image where the Android picker can provide scoped access.
The selected image is not intentionally uploaded to HyperNest Innovations servers for QR recognition.
The QR Scanner includes a Clipboard option.
Wi-Fi Analyzer accesses Clipboard content only when the user explicitly chooses the Clipboard feature.
Clipboard text may then be used to:
recognize QR-related content;
display text for QR generation;
process content requested by the user.
The Application does not intentionally monitor the Clipboard continuously in the background.
Users may manually enter text or other supported content to generate a QR code.
The entered content is processed for the purpose of creating the requested QR code.
Wi-Fi Analyzer does not intentionally upload manually entered QR contents to HyperNest Innovations servers as part of local QR generation.
Users should avoid placing sensitive information into a QR code unless they understand that anyone who can scan the generated QR code may be able to read its contents.
Wi-Fi Analyzer may use technologies including:
Google ML Kit Barcode Scanning;
Google Play Services ML Kit Barcode Scanning;
ZXing;
Android CameraX.
These technologies support QR recognition, barcode processing, QR generation, and camera functionality.
Depending on the implementation and version of these libraries, some components may be supplied or maintained by Google or other third-party providers and are subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices.
On supported Android versions, Wi-Fi Analyzer may request:
POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Notification permission is optional.
Notifications may be used for appropriate Application information, feature status, updates, or other user-facing notifications implemented in the published version.
Notification permission is not required merely to view normal Home Wi-Fi information.
Users may decline or later disable notifications through Android settings.
Wi-Fi Analyzer stores certain preferences locally on the user's device.
These may include:
onboarding-completion state;
selected application language;
Auto Refresh preference;
permission-disclosure state;
whether specific permission explanations were previously accepted or displayed;
other basic application settings.
These preferences are used to preserve Application configuration and improve the user experience.
If the user enables Auto Refresh, supported networking features may periodically update their information while relevant screens are being used.
Depending on the feature, this may include refreshing:
nearby Wi-Fi scan results;
device discovery;
IP/network information;
Data Usage information;
other snapshot-based network information.
Features that already receive live Android network callbacks may update independently of Auto Refresh.
Bandwidth-intensive tests such as Internet Speed Test are not intended to start automatically merely because Auto Refresh is enabled.
Wi-Fi Analyzer uses Android local storage technologies, including Room Database, to store information required for local Application functionality.
Currently, this may include Speed Test History and related local information.
This data remains on the device unless:
the user deletes it using Application functionality;
Application data is cleared;
the Application is uninstalled;
Android removes it under normal operating-system behavior.
HyperNest Innovations does not intentionally synchronize local Room speed-test history to its own servers as part of the current functionality.
The Application includes Firebase Analytics.
When enabled, Firebase Analytics may process information associated with Application usage, such as:
Application interactions;
screen or feature usage;
session information;
device and operating-system information;
Application version;
technical identifiers associated with the Firebase installation;
general usage events submitted by the Application.
Analytics information is used to understand Application usage, improve features, diagnose product issues, and improve the overall Application experience.
Wi-Fi Analyzer does not intentionally include raw Wi-Fi passwords, Clipboard contents, QR-code contents, local device-scan results, or detailed Usage Access traffic statistics in custom Firebase Analytics events.
Information processed by Firebase is subject to Google's applicable terms and privacy practices.
The Application may include Firebase Crashlytics.
Crashlytics is used to identify crashes and improve Application reliability.
Depending on Google's SDK behavior and Application configuration, Crashlytics may process information such as:
crash stack traces;
device model;
operating-system information;
Application version;
technical diagnostic information;
identifiers used by the service;
crash-related state and logs.
Crash information is used for troubleshooting and improving Application stability.
Information processed by Firebase Crashlytics is subject to Google's applicable terms and privacy practices.
Wi-Fi Analyzer may use Firebase Remote Config.
Remote Config allows certain Application configuration values or feature settings to be delivered remotely.
Google's supporting Firebase services may process technical identifiers and Application/device information needed to provide this functionality.
Remote Config is not used to remotely retrieve the contents of the user's QR codes, local-network device scans, or Wi-Fi passwords.
Wi-Fi Analyzer may use Google Play technologies including:
Google Play Services;
Google Play In-App Updates;
Google Play In-App Review;
ML Kit services where applicable.
These services may process technical information required to provide their functionality.
Information processed by Google is governed by Google's own terms and privacy practices.
The Application has Internet permission.
Internet access may be used for:
Internet Speed Tests;
ping/network tests;
Firebase services;
Remote Config;
Crashlytics;
Analytics;
Application updates;
other online Application functionality expressly offered to the user.
Because Internet Speed Tests transfer test data, running a test may consume network bandwidth.
Based on the current Application design, HyperNest Innovations does not intentionally collect through its own servers:
Wi-Fi passwords;
precise GPS location histories;
contact lists;
SMS or call history;
microphone recordings;
financial information;
government identification information;
raw camera video from QR scanning;
the user's complete photo library;
continuous Clipboard contents;
raw nearby Wi-Fi scan histories;
raw local-device scan histories;
QR contents processed locally by the QR Scanner;
detailed Usage Access network statistics.
If future versions introduce functionality that changes these practices, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

Internet Speed Tests, ping tests, QR-related actions, Wi-Fi connectivity actions, and other network functions may necessarily communicate with network endpoints in order to provide the user-requested feature.
Legal obligations
Information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, regulation, or lawful governmental request.
Security
Information may be processed or disclosed where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, security threats, or misuse of the Application.
HyperNest Innovations uses reasonable technical measures and Android platform protections to limit access to information used by the Application.
Local Application preferences and saved history are stored using Android-provided storage mechanisms.
Information transmitted to supported online services is expected to use the transport-security mechanisms implemented by those services.
Local-network diagnostics occur over the user's network and may depend on the security of that network and connected devices.
Users should avoid performing network-analysis operations on untrusted networks where doing so could expose network activity to other parties.
No system of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Information stored locally by Wi-Fi Analyzer generally remains on the device until:
the user deletes it through Application functionality where available;
Application data is cleared;
the Application is uninstalled;
or Android otherwise removes it.
Temporary scan and diagnostic information may remain only in memory or Application state for as long as needed to provide the current feature.
Speed Test History may remain locally until the user deletes the relevant records or clears/uninstalls the Application.
Information processed by third-party services such as Firebase may be retained according to those providers' configuration, retention policies, and applicable terms.
Users can delete supported local information using Application functionality where a delete option is provided.
For example, Speed Test History records can be selected and deleted from the Application.
Users may also remove locally stored Application data by:
clearing Wi-Fi Analyzer's Application data through Android Settings; or
uninstalling Wi-Fi Analyzer.
The current Application does not provide a user-account creation system. Therefore, there is currently no Wi-Fi Analyzer server-side user account requiring account deletion.

Depending on Android version and the features selected, Wi-Fi Analyzer may use the following Android permissions or special access.
Used for Internet connectivity, speed testing, supported network tests, Firebase/Google services, Remote Config, updates, and other online functionality.
Used to determine network connectivity and connection state.
Used to inspect available Wi-Fi connection information.
Used only where permitted and necessary for supported Wi-Fi functionality.
Android may restrict or change what third-party applications are allowed to modify on newer Android versions.
Used because Android protects certain Wi-Fi scan and Wi-Fi identification information using Location permission.
It is used for Wi-Fi analysis and scanning functionality, not for tracking the user's physical movements.
Used where Android requires nearby-device permission for supported Wi-Fi operations.
The Application declares this permission as not being used to derive physical location.
Used for live QR-code scanning initiated by the user.
Used for supported notifications on Android versions that require runtime notification permission.
Notifications are optional unless a future feature specifically requires a notification for operating-system reasons, in which case the relevant purpose will be explained.
Used only after the user explicitly enables Usage Access for the Data Usage feature.
It allows the Application to obtain Android-provided usage/network statistics necessary for that feature.
Wi-Fi Analyzer aims to request sensitive permissions and special access in the context of the feature requiring them.
Before certain sensitive access is requested, the Application may display an explanation describing:
what access is required;
why the selected feature needs it;
how the information is used.
Users can decline permission.
When permission is denied, the Application attempts to continue operating where possible, although related features may display limited or unavailable information.
If Android stops showing a permission dialog after repeated denials, Wi-Fi Analyzer may explain why the permission is necessary and allow the user to open the Application's Android Settings page manually.
If Location permission is granted but the device's Location service is disabled, the Application may explain why it must be enabled before offering to open Android's Location settings.
