Web Chat ("we", "our", "the app") is developed by PixmoApps. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

Web Chat does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers.

The app operates entirely on your device. All data — including tracked contact numbers, saved statuses, downloaded media, and contact names you add — is stored locally on your device in a private database. This data never leaves your phone.

2. Web Service Integration

Web Chat is a browser wrapper around a public web messaging service. When you log in via QR code or 8-digit code, you are logging into that service's own web version. Web Chat does not intercept, read, store, or transmit any of your messages, chats, media, or contacts to any external server.

Web Chat is an independent third-party app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with any messaging service or its parent companies.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The app stores the following data only on your device:

• Tracked contact numbers (added manually by you)

• Contact names you assign

• Contact profile pictures (fetched from the web session)

• Saved status images and videos (downloaded by you)

• App preferences and settings

• Notification history

You can delete all this data at any time by clearing app data from Android Settings or uninstalling the app.

4. Presence Tracking Feature

The app allows you to track when your contacts appear online or offline within the web session. This feature works by observing publicly visible presence signals within your own web session. No third-party service is involved. Presence data is not sent anywhere — notifications appear locally on your device.

Important: This feature must be used ethically. Do not use it to stalk, harass, or monitor anyone without their knowledge or consent. Misuse may violate the web service's Terms of Service and applicable privacy laws in your region.

5. Advertisements

We display advertisements through Google AdMob to keep the app free. AdMob may collect device identifiers (advertising ID) and general usage data to serve relevant ads. This is handled entirely by Google.

You can control ad personalization from your device settings:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID or opt out

6. Permissions Used

The app requests these Android permissions:

• Internet: To load the web session and serve ads

• Storage / Media Access: To save status downloads to your gallery

• Notifications: To alert you about presence changes and app status

• Foreground Service: To keep the web session active while tracking presence

• Camera (optional): Only if you use the QR scanner feature

The app does not access your phone contacts, SMS, call logs, microphone, or location.

7. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with third parties. Since we do not collect data in the first place, there is nothing to share.

The only third-party service used is Google AdMob, which handles its own data collection independently as per Google's policies.

8. Children's Privacy

Web Chat is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

9. Data Security

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's security. We recommend:

• Keeping your device locked with a PIN, password, or biometric

• Not sharing your unlocked device with others

• Using Android's built-in encryption features

10. Your Rights

Since we do not collect your data, standard data rights (access, deletion, correction) are already in your hands:

• Access your data: All data is on your device

• Delete your data: Clear app data or uninstall the app

• Data portability: Not applicable (no data leaves your device)

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
