Privacy Policy — Tip Calculator

This Privacy Policy describes how the Tip Calculator mobile application (“the App”) handles information when you use it. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

## 1. Who we are

The App is provided by the publisher identified in the app store listing (you). For privacy requests, use the contact method published on your store page (e.g. support email).

## 2. Information the App processes

### 2.1 Data you enter

You may enter or select:

- Bill amounts and party size 

- Tip percentages and optional labels (including emojis) for **custom tip presets** 

This data is used **only on your device** to perform calculations, display results, copy text to your clipboard, and open the system **share** sheet when you choose to share.

### 2.2 Local storage

**Custom tip presets** (labels and percentages you add) may be stored **locally on your device** using the platform’s standard app storage mechanisms (e.g. `shared_preferences` on Flutter). This data is **not** transmitted to our servers by the App itself, because the App does not include a backend account or sync service.

### 2.3 Clipboard

When you tap **Copy**, the App places a text summary on your device **clipboard**. Other apps may read the clipboard according to your operating system rules; the App does not control third-party apps.

### 2.4 Sharing

When you use **Share**, the operating system shows a share sheet. The App passes the summary text to the system; any app you select may receive that content according to its own policies.

## 3. What we do not do (core App behavior)

For the version of the App described here:

- We do **not** require you to create an account. 

- We do **not** intentionally collect personal information such as name, email, or phone number through the App. 

- We do **not** sell your data. 

- We do **not** use advertising SDKs in the App as shipped from this project. 

If you add analytics, ads, or crash reporting later, **update this policy** and the app store “Data safety” / privacy disclosures before release.

## 4. Third-party services

The App may rely on:

- **Flutter** and **Dart** (UI framework) 

- **share_plus** and related plugins to invoke the OS share UI 

- **shared_preferences** (or platform equivalents) for local preset storage 

These components run on your device. Refer to their documentation if you need technical detail for store questionnaires.

## 5. Children’s privacy

The App is a general-purpose calculator and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through a modified build of the App, contact us using your published support channel.

## 6. Your choices

- You can **delete** custom tip presets inside the App. 

- You can **clear** app data or uninstall the App from your device settings to remove locally stored presets. 

## 7. International users

If you distribute the App in multiple countries, ensure this policy and your store disclosures comply with applicable laws (e.g. GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA where relevant). Add a data controller name, legal basis (if EU), and regional rights where required.

## 8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
