Tanqit+ is designed for use by teachers and educational staff to help manage and organize student grades.
Educational Data
The app processes educational information such as student names and grades only for local app functionality. This data is stored locally on the user's device by default. If a teacher chooses to enable the optional Google Drive backup feature described below, this data is also stored in that teacher's own Google Drive account.
Cloud Backup (Google Drive)
Tanqit+ offers an optional backup feature. A teacher may sign in with their own Google account to save a backup of their class data to their personal Google Drive, so their work is not lost if their phone is lost, damaged, or the app is reinstalled.
This feature is off by default and only activates if the teacher signs in and chooses to use it.
Backups are stored in a private application folder within the teacher's own Google Drive account.
Only the teacher's own Google account can access these backups.
Up to the 14 most recent backups are kept; older ones are removed automatically.
This feature uses Google Sign-In and the Google Drive API and is subject to Google's own Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
No Data Sharing
The app does not share student or educational data with third parties. No student name, grade, class name, teacher name, or school name is included in any analytics event or transmitted off the device, except where a teacher chooses to enable Google Drive backup, in which case that data is sent solely to that teacher's own Google Drive account as described above.
App Usage Analytics (Firebase Analytics)
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the app's features are used — for example, which screens are opened, whether a report was generated and in which language, whether an import succeeded, and how the ad-supported unlock is used. These events record category-level facts only (such as "a diagnostic report was generated in Arabic") and never include student names, grades, teacher names, school names, or class names. Firebase Analytics may also collect standard technical information automatically, such as device model, operating system version, and app version, in accordance with Google's own Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
Advertising and Third-Party Services
The app may use third-party services, such as Google AdMob, to display ads and support app operation. These services may collect limited technical information (such as device type, operating system version, IP address, and ad interaction data) in accordance with their own privacy policies.
User Responsibility
Users are responsible for securing their devices and Google account, and for handling any exported files (such as Excel or PDF reports) in accordance with their school or institutional policies.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected within the app.
