This privacy policy explains how Smart Watch Connect: BT Sync (the "App", package com.smartwatch.btsync), published by NXRO LIMITED ("we", "us"), handles information. Contact: elrobermj@gmail.com , 32 Willoughby Road, LONDON, N8 0JG,United Kingdom .
The App connects your Android phone to a compatible smartwatch over Bluetooth and can forward your phone's notifications to the watch. Notification content, Bluetooth device information and health data are processed on your device only. We do not operate servers that receive this data and we do not sell it. The App shows ads provided by Google, which collects some data as described in section 6.
If you turn on Notification access, the App reads notifications posted on your phone so that it can send them to your watch. For each notification it uses the app name and the title, sends a short text (up to 18 bytes, as allowed by the Bluetooth Alert Notification Service) directly to your paired watch over Bluetooth, and then discards it. Notification content is kept in memory only, is never written to storage, is never sent to us or to any server, and is not shared with advertisers. You choose which apps are forwarded, can hide message text, set quiet hours, or turn forwarding off at any time.
The App uses the Nearby devices (Bluetooth) permission to find, pair with and stay connected to your watch, and to read the watch battery level when the watch provides it. The App does not use Bluetooth to determine your location. The selected watch's address and name are saved on your device so the App can reconnect; they are not sent to us. Pairing always requires your confirmation in Android's own dialog.
If you allow it, the App reads the following from Health Connect: steps, active calories burned, distance, exercise sessions and heart rate. This data is only displayed to you inside the App (Dashboard and Activity screens). The App does not write health data, does not store a copy, does not upload it, and does not share or sell it. Health data is never used for advertising. You can revoke access at any time in Health Connect settings.
The use of information received from Health Connect will adhere to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
"Connect with QR" uses Google Play services' code scanner. The camera view is provided by Google Play services; the App does not request the camera permission and does not receive or store images — it only receives the text of the scanned code, which is used to identify the watch to pair with.
The App shows ads through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Google and its partners may collect and process information such as the device advertising ID, IP address (approximate location), app interaction and ad performance data, and crash/diagnostic data, to serve, measure and personalise ads and to prevent fraud. In the EEA, UK, Switzerland and other regions where required, the App asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before ads are requested; you can change your choice in Settings → Ad privacy options. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Learn more: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and https://policies.google.com/privacy.
The App may show the Google Play in-app review card. This is handled by Google Play; we do not receive your rating or review through the App.
The App keeps a small local technical log (times, error codes, counts and a shortened device identifier such as "••:3F"). It contains no notification text and no health data, stays on your device, and is shared only if you tap "Share report" yourself. You can clear it at any time.
Settings and the selected watch are stored on your device until you change them, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App. Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is no account to delete. For data collected by Google for ads, see Google's privacy policy.
Data the App handles stays on your device or travels directly between your phone and your watch over Bluetooth. Data sent by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is transmitted using encryption in transit.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to withdraw consent. Because the App processes data on your device, you can exercise most choices directly in the App or in Android settings. For any request or question, contact elrobermj@gmail.com.
