SmartAttendance ("the App") is a mobile application developed by Sainath Tarmale ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.
1. Overview
SmartAttendance is a 100% offline factory attendance and salary management application. The App is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on our servers. All data remains exclusively on your device.
2. Data We Collect
We do not collect any personal data.
The App stores the following information locally on your device only:
Worker names, codes, and departments
Daily attendance records (Present, Half-day, Absent, Overtime)
Advance payment records
Monthly salary calculations
App settings (such as security PIN)
This data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device. It is never transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.
3. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored locally on your device using SQLite database
Your security PIN is encrypted using SHA-256 hashing
No data is sent over the internet
No cloud storage or cloud backup is used
The App does not require an internet connection to function
4. Backup and Restore
The App provides a manual backup feature that exports your data as a JSON file. This file is:
Stored locally on your device at a location you choose
Protected with SHA-256 checksum verification for data integrity
Shared only when you explicitly choose to share it (e.g., via email or file manager)
Never uploaded to any server automatically
You are solely responsible for the security of your backup files.
5. Third-Party Services
The App does not use any third-party services such as:
Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.)
Advertising networks (AdMob, Facebook Ads, etc.)
Crash reporting services (Sentry, Crashlytics, etc.)
Cloud databases or storage
Social media integrations
6. Permissions
The App may request the following device permissions:

The App does not request access to your camera, location, contacts, microphone, or any other sensitive device features.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is a business tool designed for factory management. It is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
8. Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
You can delete all app data by uninstalling the App
You can clear the App's data through your device's Settings > Apps > SmartAttendance > Clear Data
No data remains on any server after deletion, as no data was ever sent to a server
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
