Scan Dokumen ("we", "us", "our") provides the Scan Dokumen Android application ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By installing or using the App you agree to this policy.
## 1. Information We Collect
### 1.1 Data You Provide
Scan Dokumen is a document scanning utility. The documents, images, text extracted via OCR, signatures, watermarks, and PDF files you create or import are stored **locally on your device** under the App's private storage and/or in folders you explicitly choose. We do not upload your scanned documents to our servers.
### 1.2 Device Permissions
The App requests the following Android runtime permissions, only when the related feature is used:
- **Camera** — required to capture documents, ID cards, and QR codes.
- **Photos / Media / Files (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on Android ≤ 12)** — required to import images from gallery and save scanned documents.
- **Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, Android 13+)** — used to display in-app update or progress notifications.
- **Biometric / Fingerprint (USE_BIOMETRIC, USE_FINGERPRINT)** — optional, only when you enable biometric protection for the App.
- **Vibrate** — used for tactile feedback on certain interactions.
- **Internet / Network State** — required to display ads, check for updates, and (if you opt in) purchase the ad-free upgrade.
We do not request location, contacts, microphone, SMS, or call-log permissions.
### 1.3 Automatically Collected Information
Third-party SDKs integrated in the App may collect limited technical information such as device model, OS version, language, app version, anonymous advertising identifier, and basic event data for advertising and analytics purposes. This information is processed by the respective providers under their own privacy policies:
- **Google AdMob** — https://policies.google.com/privacy
- **Google Play Services / ML Kit** (document scanner, OCR) — https://policies.google.com/privacy
- **Meta Audience Network (Facebook)** — https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy
- **Google Play Billing** (in-app purchases) — https://policies.google.com/privacy
## 2. How We Use Information
- To provide and operate the App's features.
- To improve performance, fix bugs, and develop new features.
- To display relevant advertising (where applicable) and measure ad performance.
- To process in-app purchases via Google Play.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
## 3. Data Storage and Security
Scanned documents, OCR text, signatures, and exported PDFs are stored on your device. The App does not transmit document contents to our servers. You can delete any document at any time from within the App; deleted items move to the App's local trash and can be permanently removed from there. Reinstalling or uninstalling the App removes all locally stored documents associated with it (unless you exported them to shared storage).
We employ reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data processed by integrated SDKs. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
## 4. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email below and we will delete it.
## 5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data processed about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent for personalized advertising at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
## 6. Advertising and Tracking Choices
The App displays advertising via AdMob and Meta Audience Network. You can reset or limit ad personalization from your Android device settings under **Settings → Google → Ads** (or equivalent). You may also opt out of personalized advertising offered by each SDK directly via their settings.
## 7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
