This privacy policy explains how Reveille ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use the Reveille Alarm Clock app ("the app"). We are the data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide in the app

- Alarm settings, mission choices and preferences

- Answers you give during onboarding, used to set up your alarms and missions

These are stored on your device to make the app work.

Usage and device information

We use PostHog, an analytics service, to understand how the app is used and to improve it. This may include:

- How you interact with the app (for example, screens viewed and features used)

- Device information (for example, device model, iOS version) and app/device identifiers

- Crash and performance information

Purchase information

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, which processes information such as an anonymous app user ID, subscription status and purchase history.

Camera

Some missions use your camera (for example, counting push-ups, scanning a barcode or finding an object). Camera images are processed on your device to complete the mission. We do not store or upload camera images or video. [Confirm this matches how the app works.]

Motion and step data

Some missions (for example, step counting and shake missions) use your device's motion sensors. This data is used on your device to complete the mission and is not stored by us.

Notifications

The app uses notifications to deliver alarms and wake-up check-ins. You can manage notifications in your iPhone settings at any time.

2. How we use your information

- To provide the app's alarms, missions and features

- To manage your subscription and restore purchases

- To understand how the app is used, fix problems and improve the app

- To respond to you when you contact support

3. Legal basis (UK GDPR)

- Contract: to provide the app and your subscription

- Legitimate interests: to analyse usage, fix problems and improve the app

- Consent: where required, for example for tracking or certain permissions, which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the app:

- Apple – app distribution and payments

- RevenueCat – subscription management

- PostHog – analytics

These providers process information on our behalf and may store it outside the UK. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards are used as required by law.

5. Tracking

- Withdraw consent at any time

8. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
