WHAT WE COLLECT
As of the version named above, Otol collects nothing. It does not gather, store remotely, transmit, or share any personal data. This version does not request the INTERNET permission, so it is technically incapable of sending any data off your device.
DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE ONLY
Your list of blocked apps, focus session history, block attempts, schedules, and settings — kept in a local database, deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
APP USAGE INFORMATION
With your permission (Usage access), Otol checks which app is in the foreground, only while a focus session you started is running, solely to block the apps you selected. This information is processed in memory. Only a record of blocked attempts (app name and time) is kept locally, for your own statistics.
NO ADS, NO ACCOUNT
Otol shows no advertising, requires no account or sign-in, and includes no third-party SDK that collects data.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
A future version of Otol may add features that send data off your device — for example anonymous, aggregated usage analytics to help us understand which features are used and where the app crashes. We will not do this quietly. If and when that happens, we commit to all of the following:
1. This policy is updated before the version that collects data is released, the "Last updated" date changes, and this section will describe exactly what is collected, by whom, why, and for how long it is kept.
2. The Google Play "Data safety" declaration is updated in the same release.
3. Nothing described under "Data stored on your device only" above is ever uploaded as a result of such a change without asking you first.
4. Analytics, if introduced, will be limited to anonymous and aggregated information. It will never include the names of the apps you block, your session intentions, or anything that identifies you personally.
The version of Otol installed on your device is always governed by the version of this policy that was current when that version was released. Continuing to use Otol after an update means you accept the policy in force for that update; you can always review it at this page before updating.
CHILDREN
Otol is a general-audience productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13.
