Impress AI Privacy Policy

Last updated: Oct 7, 2026

Impress AI shares the content you give an AI feature with OpenAI only after you tap Allow. We never sell your data, and you can delete everything we store by deleting your account.

Who we are

This policy explains how the Impress AI mobile app ("Impress", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information. It applies to the iOS and Android apps and our backend service.

Impress is operated by Kodeity Tech. Questions or requests: kodeitytech@gmail.com.

AI features and OpenAI

Impress AI generates replies, coaching and feedback using a service provided by OpenAI, L.L.C. Before any AI feature sends data, the app asks "Allow Impress AI to use your data?" Nothing is sent to OpenAI unless you tap Allow. If you tap Not now or close the prompt, the feature does not run.

When you use an AI feature, our backend sends OpenAI only the content needed for that request:

We do not send your name, email address or account ID to OpenAI.

How OpenAI uses it. OpenAI processes this data only to generate your response. Under OpenAI's API terms, data sent through the API is not used to train OpenAI's models. OpenAI may keep it for up to 30 days to monitor for abuse, unless it must keep it longer by law or to protect its services or others from harm. See OpenAI's API data controls.

Withdrawing consent. You can turn sharing off at any time in Profile → Privacy → AI data sharing. After that, nothing more is sent to OpenAI. Data already sent remains subject to OpenAI's retention described above.

How we use information

We use your information only to run and improve Impress:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your conversations or screenshots for advertising.

Storage and service providers

We use these providers to run Impress. Each receives only the data it needs for its role.

Device and advertising data

We do not store your screenshots. They are sent for analysis and not saved in our database.

Advertising

Impress shows ads through Google AdMob. Where the law requires it, such as in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent through Google's consent form before showing personalized ads. You can change that choice anytime in Profile → Ad privacy choices.

On iOS, Impress does not ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites, so it does not access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). Ads may still use non-identifying information such as the app you are in and your approximate region.

You can also limit ad personalization in your device settings.

Retention and deletion

We keep your history until you delete it or delete your account.

Delete Account permanently removes your conversations, generated replies, bookmarked replies and sign-in account. It cannot be undone.

If you cannot access the app, email kodeitytech@gmail.com to ask us to delete your account and data.

Your choices and rights

You control what Impress shares and keeps:

Depending on where you live, including the EEA, UK and California, you may also have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To make a request, email kodeitytech@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent for AI data sharing and personalized ads, and on providing the service you asked for for your account and saved history.

Children

Impress is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used Impress, contact us and we will delete their data.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Supabase access is restricted to your own account's rows. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, they rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date at the top when this policy changes. If we change what we share with OpenAI, the app will ask for your permission again.
