NeonApps Studio
Effective Date: March 2026 | Last Updated: March 2026
1. Introduction
NeonApps Studio ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile applications, including our Thermometer, Room Temperature, and Air Quality Index (AQI) apps (collectively, the "Apps" or "Services").
Our Apps are designed to provide you with real-time environmental data — including ambient temperature readings, humidity levels, and air quality measurements — using your device's built-in sensors and, where applicable, location-based weather or AQI data services.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By downloading, installing, or using our Apps, you agree to the practices described in this document. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our Apps immediately.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
We may collect information that you voluntarily provide when you:
Create a user account or register for our Services
Submit feedback, error reports, or support requests
Participate in surveys, promotions, or other activities we may offer
2.2 Device & Sensor Data
Our Apps access your device's built-in environmental sensors to provide core functionality. This may include:
Ambient temperature readings from your device's hardware sensors
Humidity and barometric pressure sensor data
Device model, operating system version, and hardware specifications (to calibrate sensor accuracy)
App usage frequency and session duration (to improve performance)
2.3 Location Data
To provide localized weather conditions, outdoor temperature, and real-time AQI data for your area, our Apps may request access to your device location. Specifically:
Approximate location (city/region level) may be used to fetch relevant weather and AQI data from third-party environmental data providers
Precise location is only accessed if you explicitly grant permission and is used solely to display hyper-local readings
Location data is not stored on our servers beyond the immediate request and is not used for advertising or tracking purposes
You may disable location access at any time through your device settings. Some features (such as outdoor AQI readings) may be unavailable without location access.
2.4 Non-Personal & Aggregated Data
We may automatically collect certain non-personal information to improve our Apps, including:
Device identifiers (e.g., Android ID) used only for crash diagnostics
App install and uninstall events
Frequency of feature usage and app session data
Country or general region (not precise location) for analytics
This information cannot be used to identify you personally. If non-personal data is ever combined with personal data, we treat the combined dataset as personal information under this Policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To operate and deliver the core features of our Apps, including temperature and AQI readings
To personalize your experience based on your location and preferences
To diagnose technical issues, fix bugs, and improve app performance
To analyze usage patterns and develop new features
To respond to your support requests or feedback
To comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not use your data for behavioral advertising, sell your data to third parties, or build personal profiles for marketing purposes.
4. Sharing of Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:
4.1 Third-Party Service Providers
We may share data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Apps, provided they agree to keep this information confidential and use it only for the purposes we specify. These include:
Analytics platforms (e.g., Firebase Analytics) to understand app usage
Crash reporting tools (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics) to identify and resolve bugs
Weather and AQI data providers (e.g., OpenWeatherMap, AirVisual/IQAir) to fetch environmental readings
4.2 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in good-faith belief that such action is necessary to:
Comply with a legal obligation, court order, or governmental request
Protect and defend the rights or property of NeonApps Studio
Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Services
Protect the personal safety of users or the public
4.3 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via a notice within the App or on our website prior to your information becoming subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Third-Party Data Sources & Services
Our Apps integrate with third-party environmental data APIs to deliver outdoor temperature, humidity, and AQI readings. These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data. We recommend reviewing the policies of any third-party service you interact with through our Apps.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services and disclaim all liability arising from your use of such services.
6. Data Security
The security of your information is a top priority. We implement appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our measures include:
Encryption of data in transit using industry-standard TLS protocols
Strict access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
Regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments
Minimal data retention — we collect only what is necessary and do not store sensitive data beyond operational needs
Please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, or as required by applicable law. Sensor readings and environmental data processed locally on your device are not transmitted to or stored on our servers unless you explicitly share them.
Non-personal analytics data may be retained in aggregated, anonymized form for up to 24 months for product improvement purposes.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 for users in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data without your consent, please contact us immediately at neonapps784@gmail.com and we will take prompt steps to delete such information from our records.
9. Your Rights & Choices
9.1 Access & Correction
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections if any information is inaccurate or incomplete.
9.2 Deletion
You may request the deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. We will honor such requests to the extent permitted by applicable law.
9.3 Location & Sensor Permissions
You can revoke location access at any time through your device's app settings. Revoking permissions may limit certain features of the App (such as outdoor AQI data) but will not affect your ability to use sensor-based temperature readings.
9.4 Opt-Out of Analytics
You may opt out of analytics data collection by adjusting the relevant settings within the App or through your device's privacy settings.
10. International Users
Our Apps are operated from Pakistan and may be accessed from jurisdictions around the world. If you are located outside Pakistan, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a country where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using our Apps, you consent to such transfer and processing.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Policy within the App and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
Your continued use of our Apps after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
