In order to provide you with the full functional scope of the App (such as high score tracking, daily challenges, game state, and adaptive difficulty adjustments via FlowEngine), data is stored locally on your mobile device.
Processed Data: Scores, solved puzzles, best streak, achievement timestamps, adaptive difficulty configuration (DDA state), and daily challenge completion status.
Technical Implementation: Local storage via SharedPreferences (JSON-encoded).
Purpose & Legal Basis: Provision of core gameplay functionality. The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract / provision of requested app services) and applicable telecommunications law exemptions for necessary local storage.
Retention Period: Data remains stored locally on your device until you clear the app data or uninstall the application. No transmission of this data to our servers takes place.
To finance app development, fix technical errors, and optimize overall performance, we integrate services provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; Parent Company: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA).
The App displays advertisements (banner ads on the home screen and native ads within gameplay).
Collected Data: Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android), IP address (anonymized/truncated), device model, operating system version, language settings, and ad interaction data.
Purpose: Serving and measuring the performance of advertisements.
Legal Basis: Consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (obtained via the Consent Management Banner upon initial app launch). If consent for ad personalization is denied, only non-personalized advertisements are served based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We use Firebase Analytics to better understand user behavior and continuously improve the gaming experience.
Collected Data: Anonymized/pseudonymized app instance IDs, screen views, completed puzzle categories, session duration, in-app events (e.g., starting a challenge), and session telemetry.
Purpose: Statistical evaluation of user interaction to optimize game balance and features.
Legal Basis: Your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time within the app settings.
To ensure stability and diagnose application errors, we utilize Firebase Crashlytics.
Collected Data: Crash logs, application state at the time of a crash, device model name, OS version, hardware specifications, and an anonymized installation UUID. No personal gameplay inputs or cleartext data are collected.
Purpose: Identification and analysis of technical faults and system crashes.
Legal Basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in maintaining IT security, stability, and proper app functionality.
Firebase Performance Monitoring helps us detect performance bottlenecks within the App.
Collected Data: App startup times, screen render times, network request latencies, combined with anonymous device specifications.
Purpose: Technical performance analysis and speed optimization.
Legal Basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The Matho application is designed for students and players aged approximately 8–18. We take the privacy of children very seriously (Art. 8 GDPR / COPPA):
The App does not request real names, contact details, or user accounts.
AdMob integrations are configured in compliance with child privacy regulations (including Google Child-Directed Settings / COPPA). Users below the age threshold for personalized advertising are exclusively served age-appropriate, non-personalized ads.
