goPDF is designed to be completely private. It collects no personal data, has no user accounts, shows no advertisements, contains no analytics or tracking, and includes no artificial-intelligence features. goPDF does not request internet access, so it cannot send any of your information off your device.
goPDF (“the app”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is published by Md. Ariful Islam. This policy explains how goPDF handles information. It applies to the goPDF Android application (package com.gopdf.reader) distributed through Google Play.
We do not collect any personal data. goPDF has no sign-in, no account, no advertising identifier, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. We do not know who you are and we never build a profile of you.
You open PDFs through Android’s own file picker (the Storage Access Framework). goPDF reads the document you choose directly from where it already lives on your device and displays it. The app does not copy your documents into a separate store, upload them, or transmit them anywhere. Because goPDF has no internet permission, your documents cannot leave your device through the app.
To make the app useful, goPDF keeps a small amount of information locally on your device only:
● Your recent and starred (favourite) documents, stored as references to the files you have opened.
● Your reading progress, so you can resume exactly where you left off.
● Your app settings and reading preferences, such as theme, appearance, and paging options.
This information is stored solely on your device using Android’s on-device storage. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to access it.
goPDF requests no runtime permissions and declares no internet permission in its manifest. It accesses only the individual files you explicitly choose through the system file picker.
Because goPDF collects no data, there is nothing to share, sell, or disclose. We do not share information with advertisers, analytics providers, or any other third party, and we do not sell or rent any information — because we hold none.
In line with the Google Play Data safety section, goPDF declares that it collects no user data and shares no user data. The app has no internet permission, so no user data is transmitted. Our Data safety answers are:

goPDF is a general-purpose PDF reader and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country).
Because goPDF collects no personal data at all — with no advertising, no tracking, and no social features — it complies by design with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play’s Families policy. There is simply no mechanism in the app to receive or store a child’s (or anyone’s) personal information.
Any information goPDF stores stays on your device for as long as the app is installed, and you remain in full control:
● You can clear the app’s data at any time from Android Settings.
● Uninstalling goPDF permanently removes all of its locally-stored data from your device.
There is no server-side data to delete, because none is ever collected.
Your documents and app data remain within your device’s protected app storage, governed by Android’s security model. Because nothing is transmitted or stored off your device, there is no external copy of your information to be exposed.
goPDF integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or cloud services in its reading experience. If a future version ever introduces an optional feature involving a third party (for example, optional crash reporting), it will be strictly opt-in, and this policy will be updated to describe it before that feature is enabled.
If this policy changes, we will post the updated version at the same location with a new “Last updated” date. Any material change will also be noted in the app’s release notes on Google Play.
