This Privacy Policy describes how FungiLog ("the App") handles your information. Please read it carefully before using the App.

1. OVERVIEW

FungiLog is an offline-first application. The App does not require you to create an account, register, or provide any personal information to use its core features. All farm data you enter (batches, harvests, expenses, sales, inventory) is stored locally on your device only.

2. DATA WE COLLECT

The App itself does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
The only data stored by the App is the farm management data you choose to enter, including:
- Batch records, harvest records, expense records, sale records, and inventory items
- Photos you optionally attach to batches and expenses (stored locally on your device)
- App preferences such as selected language and theme (light/dark mode), stored locally
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Backup feature to export and share it yourself.

3. THIRD-PARTY ADVERTISING (GOOGLE ADMOB)

The App displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect certain device information for the purpose of serving ads, including:
- Device advertising ID
- IP address (approximate location)
- Device model and OS version
- App usage information
This data is collected and processed by Google LLC under their own privacy policy. To learn more about how Google uses data, please visit:

You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

4. PERMISSIONS USED

The App may request the following device permissions:
• Camera — used only when you choose to take a photo for a batch or expense receipt. The App does not access your camera without your explicit action.
• Storage / Media — used only when you choose to pick a photo from your gallery to attach to a record.
• Internet — required by Google AdMob to load advertisements.
No permissions are used for data collection purposes.

5. DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION

All data you enter into FungiLog is stored in a local SQLite database file on your device at the path:
<App Documents Directory>/fungi_log.db
Photos you attach are stored locally at:
<App Documents Directory>/fungi_images/
Your data is retained on your device for as long as the App is installed, or until you delete individual records within the App.
There is no server-side storage. We (the developer) do not retain, access, or have any copy of your data at any time.

6. HOW TO DELETE YOUR DATA

You are in full control of your data. You can delete your data in the following ways:
a) Delete individual records: Open any batch, harvest, expense, sale, or inventory item and use the Delete option from the menu. This permanently removes that record from your device.
b) Delete all data at once: Uninstalling the App from your device will permanently remove the database file and all associated photos from your device. This action is irreversible.
c) Clear app data: On Android, go to Settings → Apps → FungiLog → Storage → Clear Data. This will erase all app data including the database and all stored photos.
After deletion, data cannot be recovered unless you previously created a backup using the App's Backup feature.

7. DATA BACKUP AND SHARING

The App provides an optional Backup feature that creates a ZIP file containing your local database and photos. This ZIP file is shared using your device's standard sharing system (email, cloud storage, etc.). The developer does not receive or access this backup file. You are solely responsible for the security of any backup files you share or store.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is designed for agricultural and business use and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
