Redora ⭐ built the YAMANI – Islamic Companion app as a free application. This SERVICE is provided by Redora ⭐ at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

A. Location Information
To provide you with accurate Islamic features, the App requests access to your device's **precise location (GPS)**. This data is required for:
- Calculating accurate daily prayer times (Adhan) based on your exact geographical coordinates.
- Determining the precise direction of the Qibla using your device's compass and sensors.
Important Note: Your location data is primarily processed locally on your device. However, to display your current city name, your precise GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) are sent to open APIs (like Nominatim). We do not track your continuous movements, store your location history on our servers, or sell your location data to third parties.
B. Account and Authentication Data
To provide cloud syncing, leaderboards, and personalized experiences, the App uses Firebase for secure user authentication and Supabase for storing application data (such as user profiles and leaderboards). When you log in (e.g., via Google Sign-In or email), we may collect and store:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your profile picture (if provided via Google)
- A unique user identifier (UID)
C. Usage Data and Local Storage
We use local on-device databases (Hive and Shared Preferences) to store your preferences, Tasbih counts, saved Hadiths, and daily Dua progress locally on your device.

OpenStreetMap / Nominatim
YAMANI may use the Nominatim geocoding service to convert location information into a city or place name for supported Islamic features. When this service is used, relevant location information (your exact GPS coordinates) is sent to the service to perform reverse geocoding requests. Nominatim is operated under the applicable OpenStreetMap Foundation policies and usage requirements.

3. Device Permissions
To function correctly, the App requests the following specific permissions on your device:
- Location Permissions (`ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION`, `ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION`): Required to fetch your precise coordinates for accurate Qibla and Prayer times.
- Notifications (`POST_NOTIFICATIONS`): Required to send you Adhan alerts and daily Islamic reminders.
- Sensors: Required to access the device's magnetometer and accelerometer for the Qibla compass functionality.
- Internet/Network State: Required to fetch dynamic content (like Hadith/Quran audio), sync leaderboard data to Supabase, and verify your account login.

YAMANI uses third-party services, including Firebase and Supabase where applicable, to support authentication and cloud-based functionality. We use appropriate security practices for data transmission and storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate operational, security, or legal purposes.
User Data Deletion
If you have created a YAMANI account and wish to delete your account and associated personal data, you can request deletion through any of the following methods:
1. In-App Deletion: Open your Profile screen, select Delete Account, and confirm the deletion request.
2. Web Request: Submit an account deletion request through our Account Deletion Request Form
3. Email Request: Contact us at redora.app@gmail.com with an account deletion request.
Upon a valid deletion request, we will delete the personal information and account-associated data that we are required and able to delete from our active Firebase and Supabase systems.
Certain information may be retained for a limited period where necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or backup purposes.

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
