Welcome to VocAI (“we,” “our,” or “us”), an AI-powered voice generation app that converts text into natural-sounding speech in Indian languages. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
a. Information You Provide
Text Input & Settings: The text you submit for voice synthesis, along with selected language code, voice model, pitch, pace, and other parameters.
User Feedback & Support: Any messages, support requests, or feedback you send us.
b. Automatically Collected Information
Device & Usage Data: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and usage statistics (e.g., which features you use, generation timestamps).
Analytics & Crash Reports: Anonymous analytics and crash logs via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to improve app performance.
We use your data to:
Generate Voices: Send your text and settings to our backend (Firebase Functions + Google Text-to-Speech API) to produce audio.
Improve the App: Analyze usage patterns and crash reports to enhance stability and features.
Provide Support: Respond to your feedback, questions, or support requests.
Security & Compliance: Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with:
Google Cloud Text-to-Speech API: To perform the actual voice synthesis.
Firebase Services: For authentication, data storage, functions, analytics, and crash reporting.
Legal Authorities: Only if required by law or to protect our rights and users’ safety.
Transient Data: Text inputs and generated audio are processed in memory on our servers and not stored permanently unless you explicitly save them in-app.
Logs & Analytics: Usage and crash data are stored in Firebase for up to 26 months (per Firebase’s default policy) and then automatically deleted.
We implement industry-standard security measures, including:
Encryption in Transit: All network communication uses HTTPS/TLS.
Secure Backend: Service account credentials are stored only in Firebase Functions (not in the app).
Firebase Security Rules: Restrict unauthorized access to Firestore and Storage.
VocAI is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us to delete that data.
Access & Correction: You can request a copy of any personal data we hold or ask us to correct it.
Deletion: You may request deletion of your user-generated data.
Opt-Out: You can disable analytics in-app by toggling “Share Analytics” off in Settings.
