The developer of the Spotify Podcast Transcript Chrome Extension ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and protected when you use our Extension.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect We believe in minimizing data exposure. To assure you of your privacy:
No Browsing History: We do not track, collect, or store your web browsing history.
No Spotify Account Data: We do not have access to your Spotify login credentials, passwords, or personal account settings.
2. Information We Collect & How We Use It We only collect the absolute minimum data required to provide the Premium (Pro) features of the Extension. If you purchase the Pro version, we process the following:
License Key: When you enter your License Key in the Extension's Options page, it is sent securely to our server solely to verify your purchase status and unlock premium features.
Email Address: When you purchase the Pro version, our payment provider shares the email address you used during checkout with us. We securely store this in our database to associate your License Key with your purchase, handle customer support, and help you recover lost keys.
3. Third-Party Services We use trusted third-party services to ensure the functionality and security of the Extension:
Lemon Squeezy: We use Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record to securely process all payments. We do not collect or store your credit card details. Please refer to Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy for more details.
Cloudflare: We use Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare D1 to host our license verification API and securely store your License Key and Email securely.
4. Data Storage and Security Your License Key and Pro status are stored locally on your device using Chrome's chrome.storage.sync API, allowing your Pro status to sync across devices logged into your Google account. We employ industry-standard security measures to protect the verification data stored on our servers against unauthorized access.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information (Email or License Key) to any third parties.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the "Last Updated" date will be revised accordingly.
