Smart Uninstaller (com.codepundit.smartuninstaller) helps you review installed apps, examine available usage and storage information, protect apps from cleanup suggestions, and initiate uninstall requests. This policy explains what information the app accesses, what remains on your device, and what third-party services may process.
To provide its core app-management features, Smart Uninstaller reads information about installed apps, including their names, package names, icons, versions, installation sources, app types, launcher availability, and enabled states. This includes apps that may not appear in the device launcher. The app uses this information to display, search, sort, filter, and manage your app inventory.
The installed-app inventory is processed on your device. Smart Uninstaller does not send installed-app names or package names in its developer-defined analytics events or advertising requests, and does not sell your installed-app inventory.
If you enable Usage Access in Android settings, Smart Uninstaller can read app usage information, such as when an app was last used, to identify apps you may want to review. Usage Access is optional and can be revoked in Android settings. Per-app usage information is not uploaded by Smart Uninstaller.
Where Android supports it, the app reads estimates of application, data, cache, and total storage use. Otherwise, it may display an app-package size estimate. These values vary by device and Android version; estimated storage savings are not guaranteed. Per-app storage analysis remains on your device.
When you choose to uninstall an app, Smart Uninstaller starts Android’s official uninstall flow. Android asks you to confirm the removal. Smart Uninstaller cannot silently uninstall apps or bypass Android’s confirmation.
Protected app package names are stored in a local database so those apps can be excluded from cleanup suggestions. Local uninstall history may contain an app’s name, package name, version, time, result, and estimated size. You can remove protected entries and clear uninstall history in the app.
The app also stores preferences, such as your theme, onboarding state, and locally cached Pro status. Android backup or device transfer may include the settings file. The local database containing Protected Apps and uninstall history is excluded from the app’s Android backup rules.
In a release build configured with Firebase, Firebase Analytics may process general feature events and app or device information. Firebase Crashlytics may process crash reports, diagnostics, and installation identifiers. Firebase Remote Config may process app, device, and installation information to provide app configuration. These services may retain information under Google’s applicable policies.
Smart Uninstaller’s developer-defined analytics and diagnostic reports do not include installed-app identities, per-app usage or storage information, Protected Apps identities, or uninstall-history identities. Advertising consent choices do not control Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics; the app currently has no separate in-app opt-out for those services.
The free version may show banner, native, and occasional full-screen ads supplied by Google AdMob. Depending on your region, device, and choices, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as device and advertising identifiers, approximate location inferred from network information, ad interactions, and diagnostics to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud.
Where required, Smart Uninstaller uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request consent before requesting ads. Available Ad privacy choices can be revisited from Settings. Pro users do not receive ad requests. Smart Uninstaller does not add installed-app identities, per-app usage or storage information, Protected Apps entries, or uninstall-history identities to ad requests.
The optional lifetime Pro upgrade uses Google Play Billing. Google processes payment and transaction information under its own terms. Smart Uninstaller receives purchase information needed to acknowledge and restore Pro access. The app does not receive your payment-card details.
The complete installed-app inventory and usage or storage analysis are not kept as a permanent uploaded inventory. Protected Apps and uninstall history remain in the app’s local database until you delete them or clear the app’s data. You can revoke Usage Access in Android settings, remove Protected Apps entries, clear uninstall history, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. Android backup and restore may retain or restore eligible settings preferences.
Local app data is protected by Android’s application sandbox. Google’s services handle information sent to them under their own security and retention practices. Smart Uninstaller does not provide a user account or cloud-sync service, so there is no Smart Uninstaller account to delete.
Smart Uninstaller is a general device utility and is not intentionally designed or directed to children.
We may update this policy when the app’s features, third-party services, or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when a revised policy is published.
