Scroll Limite ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles your data. Scroll Limite is designed to help you reduce screen time and break doomscrolling habits by tracking and blocking addictive app usage.
Because of the nature of our application, we require specific Android system permissions. We believe in 100% on-device privacy. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any external servers.

Scroll Limite uses the Android AccessibilityService API to function.
Why we need it: We use this API exclusively to detect when you are actively using user-specified target apps (like Instagram or TikTok) and to count your on-screen swipe/scroll gestures. This allows us to track your scrolling habits and enforce your daily limits.
What data is accessed: The AccessibilityService only observes window state changes and scroll events on the specific apps you choose to limit.
Data Privacy: No personal information, screen content, passwords, or messages are ever read, collected, stored, or transmitted. All Accessibility data is processed locally on your device and is never shared with us or any third parties.
Why we need it: When you exceed your daily scroll limit, Scroll Limite must draw a blocker screen (or penalty mini-game) over the addictive app to prevent further usage.
Data Privacy: This permission is strictly used for drawing the visual interface of the blocker. It does not record or capture your screen.
Why we need it: This permission allows us to calculate how much time you have spent in specific apps to populate your Statistics and Dashboard.
Data Privacy: This data remains strictly on your device and is never transmitted off-device.
Scroll Limite operates entirely offline and on-device.
We do not require you to create an account.
We do not have user databases.
We do not use third-party tracking analytics (e.g., Google Analytics or Meta Pixel) that harvest your behavioral data.
All of your app usage statistics, streaks, and unlocked skins are saved locally on your device's internal storage using secure local databases. If you uninstall the app, your data is deleted.
Scroll Limite does not integrate with third-party data brokers or advertising networks. Your usage data is strictly your own.
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. Because our app operates offline and collects no data, there is no risk of a child's data being transmitted to us.
