Privacy Policy for Remembered Zoom by URL

Effective date: July 14, 2026

Remembered Zoom by URL (“the Extension”) remembers zoom levels for web pages explicitly selected by the user. This policy explains what data the Extension processes, how it is used, and how users can delete it.

Data Processed by the Extension

To provide its zoom functionality, the Extension locally processes browser tab URLs and titles, navigation events, and tab zoom levels. This information is used only to identify the current page, keep zoom levels independent between tabs, and restore a zoom level previously saved by the user.

A page is stored only after the user clicks “Remember zoom for this page.” For each remembered page, the Extension stores a cleaned version of the URL, the visible tab title, the selected zoom level, and creation and update timestamps. URLs for pages the user does not choose to remember are not added to persistent storage.

How Data Is Stored

Remembered page settings are stored locally on the user’s device using the browser’s extension storage. The Extension does not operate a remote server and does not synchronize this data through a developer-controlled service.

Data Transmission and Sharing

The Extension does not transmit user data to the developer or external servers. It does not sell, rent, share, or disclose user data to third parties. It does not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or behavioral profiling.

Website Content and Credentials

The Extension does not read or modify page content, form entries, passwords, cookies, authentication credentials, personal communications, or files. It does not inject scripts into websites.

Retention and Deletion

Saved settings remain on the user’s device until the user removes an entry through the Extension’s popup, clears the Extension’s browser storage, or uninstalls the Extension.

Users can remove any remembered page at any time by selecting “Forget this page” or deleting it from the remembered pages list.

Permissions

• storage: Saves user-selected clean URLs and zoom settings locally.

• tabs: Reads tab URLs, titles, and zoom levels and applies per-tab zoom.

• webNavigation: Detects navigation and single-page URL changes so a saved zoom can be restored.

Limited Use

The Extension’s use of information received from browser APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the Extension’s single user-facing purpose and is not used for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or any unrelated purpose.

Children’s Privacy

The Extension does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users.

Changes to This Policy

If the Extension’s data practices change, this policy and the disclosures in the Chrome Web Store will be updated before the changes are released.

Contact

For privacy questions, users may contact the developer through the support contact information shown on the Extension’s Chrome Web Store listing.
