Pipette — Color Picker & Gradient Studio ("the Extension") respects and protects user privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines our data handling practices when you install and use the Extension.
No Personal Data Collection: The Extension does NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal identifiable information (PII), such as names, email addresses, IP addresses, or location data.
No Browsing History Tracking: The Extension does NOT track, record, or analyze your browsing history, visited URLs, or online behavior.
Local Data Storage: Any saved color palettes, color history, or user settings are stored exclusively on your local device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. This data is never uploaded to any remote server or third-party service.
The Extension requests only the minimal permissions necessary for its core color-picking functionality:
activeTab: Used strictly to access the current active webpage when you trigger the color picker.
scripting: Required to inject the color picker eyedropper tool into the active page so you can inspect pixels and CSS gradients under your cursor.
storage: Used to save your picked color history and saved palettes locally on your browser.
The Extension does not use any third-party analytics, tracking services, or external APIs. No data is ever shared with third parties.
