**Effective Date: June 2, 2026**
This Privacy Policy explains how PharmDesk ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use our application. Please read this policy carefully.
---
## 1. Overview
PharmDesk is a fully offline application. The app does not require an internet connection for its core functions. We do not operate servers, collect personal data remotely, or transmit your data to any external party, except as described in Section 5 (Advertising).
---
## 2. Information We Collect
### 2.1 Data You Enter Into the App
All data you enter into PharmDesk — including medicine records, customer names and contact details, sales transactions, prescription information, and financial records — is stored exclusively on your device's local storage. This data never leaves your device through our systems.
### 2.2 Data We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or process:
- Account credentials or login information
- Location data
- Device identifiers for our own purposes
- Usage analytics or crash reports through our own systems
- Any personal data from your app usage
## 3. How Your Data Is Used
All data stored in PharmDesk is used solely to provide the app's features to you:
- Displaying medicine inventory, sales records, and reports
- Generating receipts and summaries
- Supporting backup and restore functionality
Your data is never shared with us or any third party (other than advertising services described below).
## 4. Data Storage and Retention
### 4.1 Where Data Is Stored
All app data is stored in a local SQLite database on your Android device. The database file is located in the app's private storage directory, which is only accessible by PharmDesk.
### 4.2 How Long Data Is Retained
Your data remains on your device for as long as you use the app. It is **not** automatically deleted. Data persists until you:
- Delete individual records within the app (using the delete function in each screen)
- Use the "Restore Data" function with a new backup (which replaces all current data)
- Clear the app's data through your Android device settings
- Uninstall the application
### 4.3 How to Delete Your Data
You have full control over your data. You can delete data in the following ways:
**Option A — Delete individual records:**
Open any screen (Medicines, Customers, Sales, etc.), tap on an item, then use the delete button. This permanently removes that specific record.
**Option B — Clear all data (reset the app):**
On your Android device, go to **Settings → Apps → PharmDesk → Storage → Clear Data**. This permanently deletes all app data including the database.
**Option C — Uninstall the app:**
Uninstalling PharmDesk from your Android device permanently removes all data stored by the app.
**Option D — Use a blank restore:**
In the app, go to **Settings → Restore Data** and restore from a blank or different backup to replace existing data.
There is no recovery option after deletion. We recommend creating a backup before clearing data.
## 5. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob)
PharmDesk displays banner advertisements powered by **Google AdMob**. When ads are shown, Google may collect certain information from your device to serve relevant advertisements. This may include:
- Advertising ID (Android Ad ID)
- Device information (model, OS version)
- General location (country/region level)
- Ad interaction data
This data collection is governed by **Google's Privacy Policy**, available at:
**To opt out of personalized advertising:**
1. Go to your Android device **Settings**
2. Navigate to **Google → Ads**
3. Enable **"Opt out of Ads Personalization"**
We do not control or have access to data collected by Google AdMob.
## 6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties, except:
- **Google AdMob**, as described in Section 5, for advertising purposes
- If required by applicable law or legal process
## 7. Backup and File Sharing
PharmDesk includes a backup feature that exports your data as an encrypted ZIP file to your device. When you choose to **share** a backup file using the share function, the data is transferred using your device's built-in sharing system (email, cloud storage, messaging apps, etc.).
We do not receive or process any backup files. You are solely responsible for the security of shared backup files.
## 8. Children's Privacy
PharmDesk is designed for use by pharmacy professionals and is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. This app is intended for adults in a professional or business capacity.

We cannot be held responsible for data breaches resulting from device theft, loss, or unauthorized physical access to your device.
