PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: September 26, 2026

Personal Museum ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the Personal Museum mobile application (the "App").

1. INFORMATION COLLECTION AND STORAGE

Personal Museum is designed with privacy at its core as an offline-first application.

- Local Data Storage: All data created within the App—including exhibit names, dates, personal stories, notes, milestones, and photo attachments—is stored locally on your device's internal storage using local SQLite storage.

- No External Data Transmission: We do not collect, transmit, upload, or sell any of your personal data, photos, or collection details to external servers or third-party tracking services.

2. PERMISSIONS & MEDIA ACCESS

- Photo & Storage Access: To attach photos of your exhibits, the App requests permission to open your device's Media Picker. Selected photos are copied directly into the App's secure private directory on your device. No photos leave your device.

3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The App does not integrate third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, ad networks, or cloud data harvesting services.

4. DATA RETENTION & CONTROL

You retain full ownership and control over all data entered into Personal Museum:

- Editing & Deleting Data: You can modify or delete individual exhibits, notes, milestones, or photos at any time directly within the App.

- Uninstalling the App: Uninstalling the App will permanently remove all locally saved exhibits and associated photos from your device.

5. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Personal Museum does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children. Because no data is transmitted off the device, the App is safe for general audiences.

6. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App or on our store listing page.
