Privacy Policy For Noiss - Sleep & White Noise

The short version: Noiss does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Your mixes, favorites, and settings live entirely on your device. The only data collection that occurs is by Google AdMob for serving advertisements, described in full below.
Noiss is a sleep sound mixer application developed by skdev and distributed on the Google Play Store.

Noiss itself does not collect any data about you. The following information stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere:
Your saved mixes and mix history
Your favourite sounds
App settings (audio focus, fade duration, default timer)
Sleep timer state
Premium unlock timestamp
All of this is stored using Android's SharedPreferences, which is local device storage. Uninstalling the app removes all of it permanently.
Noiss displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use the following data to serve relevant ads:
Advertising ID
Approximate location
App interactions
Crash logs
Diagnostics
Device information
This data is collected by Google, not by Noiss. We do not have access to it. Google uses this information to provide and improve their advertising services, including ad personalisation based on your interests.
Ad content rating
All ads in Noiss are restricted to Teen-rated content and above. No adult or mature ad content is permitted.
When ads appear
Banner ads appear on the Sound Library and Settings screens only
Banner ads are never shown while sounds are playing
A short interstitial ad may appear after you have completed several sleep sessions and close the app — never during active playback
Rewarded ads are shown only when you choose to watch one to unlock premium sounds for 4 hours

To opt out of personalised advertising on your Android device, go to Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
Noiss requests the following Android permissions:
INTERNET
Required to load and display advertisements.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK
Required to keep audio playing when the app is in the background, such as when your screen is off while sleeping.
REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS
Allows the sleep timer to fire reliably overnight without Android killing the process. You can revoke this at any time in your device settings.
Noiss does not request access to your microphone, camera, contacts, location, files, or any other sensitive permissions.
Noiss is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is rated for users aged 13 and above on the Google Play Store.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has used this app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
The only third-party service integrated into Noiss is Google AdMob. No other analytics, crash reporting, or data collection services are used. There are no social media integrations, no login systems, and no user accounts of any kind.

Since Noiss does not collect any data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Your local app data — mixes and settings — can be removed at any time by uninstalling the app.
Data collected by Google AdMob is governed by Google's own retention policies, which you can review at their privacy policy linked above.
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws including:
The right to know what data is collected about you
The right to request deletion of your data
The right to opt out of personalised advertising
The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Since Noiss itself collects no data, any requests relating to ad data should be directed to Google via their privacy policy. For anything else, contact us at the email address above and we will respond within 30 days.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
